We have been to this restaurant a few times over the years and truthfully we have never been impressed. Despite calling themselves Singapore Chicken Rice , their chicken rice needs a lot of improvement.The first thing we noticed was the sadness of the meat. It looked dry, over-cooked and not bouncy . The chicken itself was stringy, flavourless and bland, while the soy sauce was strong and over-powering. Rice was even drier than the meat and had little chicken flavour, as was the soup that came with it . Chilli sauce was vinegary, too thin and lacked ginger.Unfortunately there was nothing positive about this chicken rice. The only saving grace was the friendly staff. Other dishes on the menu might be worth trying but if they can’t even nail their speciality dish, it’s hard to imagine how other items would be outstanding. instagram.com
