My friends and I went here Sunday night. The food was very underwhelming, the pizza was inedible so we returned it and got our money back. That definitely should be taken off the menu. The wedges were soggy so we did not eat them at all. The Pineapple cocktail had no trace of pineapple in it and was not pleasant at all. The girls who work there are not friendly at all and kept looking the other way as we waited to order. I will definitely not be returning here ever again. The only positive was the mulled wine which was delicious but still I will not return there ever. I think management need to work on staff retraining and quality of food and drinks.
Girl at the front was oblivious to waiting customers she was facing the other way. Had To ring bell to get attention even though I was right next to her. Had to ask for my coffee as she forgot it. Ordered nachos which were served with mozzarella cheese so they had zero flavour and the guacamole was avocado dip from coles!!! Wont be coming back
This place is the perfect around the corner meal. Im a regular here for the chilli muscles which can honestly feed a family. Between two people we are busting from the large muscles. $26 for two people, cant beat it.
For starters it is pretty much self service, decor is grubby, tired, still had a broken globe hanging from the wall in 2nd back booth, many tables from previous diners still had dishes, glasses etc, plenty of flies around inside, pigeons scavenging around, salt & pepper empty in dirty condition, kitchen area visible to patrons had thick yellow grease running down the white tiles, food was average at best, not hot, not worth the money…this place badly needs a Gordon Ramsay intervention….We won’t be coming back….there are plenty other eateries where the food and service is much better, where they value ones patronage….
This place has very nice and fresh decoration, especially love the outdoor seating area which is the main reason we come here. weekly food specials are good value
Worst visit I’ve ever had and will never return after tonight. We invited two friends to come here from Jane brook for dinner. The first thing to go wrong was ordering – Friday night is a 49 dollar special for garlic bread, two mains and a shared dessert when any two drinks are purchased. My husband ordered our drinks and meals and expected to be charged the 49 dollars. When he was charged more than this, he queried why and was told that it was too late to fix the order. So no refund offered, no Friday night special for us. Pretty rude but we let it go. He also requested not to have oysters on his seafood platter, but the server insisted that they had to be on his plate, even if he wasn’t going to eat them. What garbage!Our friends got one of the Friday night specials as well as an extra garlic bread. When our mains came out, none of the garlic bread arrived. Since it is supposed to be a starter, our friends were pretty annoyed. They were given a refund on one of the garlic breads, but not the other. No garlic bread was received at all.I ordered the burger with the lot, no tomato, with extra aioli on the side. No aioli arrived and I had to ask for it to be brought over. My burger also had tomato in it. It was quite possibly the worst burger I’ve ever eaten – so much so that I left half of it behind. The burger patty had clearly come out of the freezer – it was like eating a dried up sponge from the kitchen sink.My husband’s seafood platter had chips with no salt, and calamari that was obviously cut so paper thin that it was like eating batter only. You could not taste or feel the calamari in there at all. AND THE FISH WAS MISSING COMPLETELY!!!Not once, did anyone come and check on our table to ask how our food was. No one came to clear our table, and the dessert that was supposed to arrive with our friends Friday night special never arrived either.As we were leaving, one of our friends asked to speak to the manager. Rather than trying to offer us any compensation or an apology, the manager simply told our friend that it was his attitude that was shit rather than the food or service, and walked away.I’ve quite possibly never been so disgusted in my life. As first time parents to a 6 month old, we don’t get to go out much anymore. This used to be one of our favourite places.. and after tonight we will never return, and will certainly be spreading the word to our family and friends.
Totally disappointed. Took my wife and daughter for a celebratory meal for our wedding anniversary. Ordered a kids fish and chips and the seafood platter. Kids meal had bones in the fish. The seafood platter was a disaster. Had to send the fish back raw. Half the muscles were unopened and none of them were properly cleaned and the oysters were quite obviously getting close to their used by date. Though the wait staff were sympathetic there was no effort to fix this beyond getting a new bit of fish. When I tried to contact management I didn’t even get a response! spend your money somewhere else!
