Went there last night with 5 mates for our monthly get together. Shared 3 pizzas that were good but not great. The general consensus on the main course was favourable, however my linguine with prawn was a little bland and could have done with a lot more seasoning. Most of the guys ordered affogato to finish with. Unfortunately, the ice cream was in my opinion very average and more like a cheap ice confection. Very disappointing. The service was just average. When we checked the bill we were shocked to find that we were charged $1.50 for each of the six beers we consumed, as well as $5 for each bottle of wine. Total corkage $29. There were no beer glasses supplied, so paying $9 for the waiter to pick up and dispose of six empty bottles is a rip off ( we had to ask for the empties to be removed from the table ). Never been charged corkage for beers ever before. Won’t be going back.

Excellent Pizzas , best I have had in restaurant for long time Fair price for the quality, will certainly come back to try the others Have not yet tried any other menu dishes however if quality is the same as presented on the pizzas it’s well worth a visit.

Had an excellent meal with friends at the Empire last night. The pizza we shared as entree was crispy and delicious. The meat in the shared Grigliata Mista was very tender and cooked as requested. The pasta dishes also got the thumbs up. The Tiramisu was light and full of flavour and the afagoto was beautifully presented. Will be going to this restaurant again. The service was friendly and welcoming.

We had a fabulous family meal at The Empire. The pizzas were gorgeous with plenty of toppings and a lovely crust. My lamb cutlets were cooked to perfection. Also the kids pizzas were super cute – my kids loved them! Add to that the fact that this is a BYO restaurant (a very reasonable $5 per bottle of wine and $2 per beer) it will become a family favourite for us!

The service at the beginning of the evening was great. Unfortunately the food to follow was at best average. The waitress tried to make amends with free coffee but when you pay over 30 dollars for the mains you expect more than Maccas quality.

Went to The Empire for a girls night out. The food was generally ok…. But the portions were tiny. Italian food should leave you feeling stuffed, yet we were still super hungry. It’s shame, the food is over priced. We won’t be going back.
