Threecoins is apparently a popular place for authentic home-cooked Italian cuisine. Their food is more refined than home cooking. Having said that, the flavours are familiar and generally hit the spot.However, it is more pricey and portions are not what you would expect at home.
Cute little Italian cafe overlooking Beaufort street. Came for dinner for 4 and shared a pizza and the polenta crusted squid to start which were both ok. For mains we ordered the pumpkin & taleggio ravioli which was very good, potato gnocchi (our least favourite & very small portion for $28, more of an entree size), the trofie pasta with swordfish which was very firm (a bit too al dente and the flavour was not the best), and the tagliolini with the clams which was very bland. Service was very friendly and the atmosphere was good. The food here was just a bit too average for my taste compared to some of the better Italian eateries in Perth.
