Very nice authentic Indian cuisine. Not the biggest servings but it’s incredibly tasty. Butter chicken is the standout. Beef Vindaloo was hot and full of flavour. Try the chai tea it’s made from scratch and beautiful and fragrant. A bit on the expensive side but worth it.
The curry leaf can not be faulted. Authentic feel and decor and lovely staff. The food is always excellent. Onion bahji and tika aloo to start. Beef korma and coconut fish curry delicious. The mild is still spicy and the medium is hot but not a killer. Their naan bread is thick and fluffy and the best anywhere. Highly recommended. This last visit not so good. Service very chaotic December 2018Reported closed !!!!
Not sure why this wonderful place has less than a 4 star rating, it’s fabulous! Lovely service, great (and authentic) Indian food – menu appeared to have both South and North Indian dishes, child/family friendly and the best part? It’s not disastrously overpriced. Was really happy to find that after 3 years since my last visit they are just as good now as they were then. Will return again for sure
We tried the food here as we staying in the hotel where the restaurant located, to enjoy the convenience. When we order we are looking the common Tandoori Chicken but it’s not in the menu. So we asked the waitress and she said they got some in the kitchen and could offer us entree for 4 pieces or 8 pieces for main. As we got five people so we ordered main to share. The chicken was in general dry and not in flavour, maybe the worst Tandoori Chicken I ever tried. We also ordered a platter which supposed to have prawns but the waitress said prawns were not available on that day, so replaced with lamb. I asked whether the prawns could be replaced by fish or other seafood, she said no, only lamb, but fish could be ordered as another main – curry fish. We ordered the platter and curry fish anyway. The platter eventually got some burnt lamb chops, tandoori chicken (again) and three unknown sausages. I tasted the sausage and can’t identify what it is made of. While checking with the waitress, she said that is a chicken and lamb sausage, which is quite unusual to me and I do not believe so. During our meal we did need to go to the counter twice to get them to provide us some main plates and spoons for the rice as well. Overall a not very nice dinning experience.
Food was good but terrible service.Took ages to get served and have anything cleared away.Website says BYO but when we arrived they told us we couldn’t bring our drinks in.Don’t dine in.. get take away!!
