Been here a couple of times and meals are generally above average, but the service is a little lacking.For a restaurant, with restaurant prices (evening dining), the service is more like a casual cafe and quite hit and miss.I went recently for lunch, based on the winter lunch menu posted on Zia’s website. The menu we were offered was not that advertised on the website and had a much more restricted choice – at least by half. I mentioned this to the waitress but she said I must’ve been looking at the dinner menu online. Definitely not and disappointing as this was the reason we visited.
Such a shame to give a low score as my family has been dining with zia’s since it opened many years ago. Zia’s was our go to local Italian restaurant although unfortunately we won’t be back. Our food was extremely basic (from what we are used to) I had the spaghetti marinara and for $35 I expected more seafood and better quality. The squid was extremely tough. Like chewing rubber. I didn’t complain as I was starving and didn’t want to be a nuisance. Maybe staff can communicate more as we had several waitstaff come to our table right after one another.
