The coffee was fantastic! Very smooth. The banana bread we bought was a little dry, but may have been nicer toasted and spread with butter. The service excellent. The staff were super friendly. Loved that there is a bit of a kids area outside. Could do with a few more toys and maybe a small table to go with the kids chairs.
Thought I’d give somewhere different a go and went to Distrykt. The staff are very friendly and there was a good selection of food in their display case. I got a large coffee and a protein ball. The coffee was made extremely hot. I was thankful I dove so I didn’t have to hold it for long. It was a good 15 minutes before I could actually drink any of it and I was concerned that overheated milk would have made the coffee bitter or disgusting. To my surprise it actually wasn’t too bad. The protein ball was delicious. It was a choc one with goji berries (I think). I would go back again but ask for my coffee to not be made so hot.
A nice find in the suburbs tucked away near the small shops and gym. Everything in the display cabinet is made on site with lots of options for those who are GF, vego, dairy free etc. I had my usual soy cap and it was great. No double tap rubbish and half foam. Recommended.
Stumbled across this cafe which is tucked away at the shopping centre. The coffee has been consistently good. A small selection of food, but nicely presented and staff are always friendly.
Coffee tasted bitter… Not sure if it is just the type of beans they use or if it is in the making of the coffee, but I was sadly disappointed.
For a small cafe this is such a great spot. While I don’t like the take away concept (I’m sorry I hate the waste) the produce used here is super fresh. Coffees ALWAYS are perfect. The owner has pride in what she sells and clearly has good taste buds. It has become friendlier lately with regular smiles. It seems like they are a bit less stressed and enjoying it more maybe? I’m not sure why it’s not open Sunday. Twice we’ve driven there for coffees on a Sunday then realised its closed. I love Distrykt. Wish it was a bit bigger so you could really sit in and order a big breakfast with the kids. Great for what it is, a small gourmet cafe with fantastic coffee. Oh, can I please have butter on my banana bread?? I hate nuttelex!!
Rather disappointing. I was a regular at Gecko and thought I would try Distrykt but was very disappointed – Window says ‘Smile’ but that’s where it ends – no personality from staff AT ALL and very envo unfriendly with only take away containers even if you sit in – what a waste – where you used to sit down inside is now two little round tables – not at all encouraging or friendly if you do not want to sit inside out of the coldI am sorry it’s such a negative change as it is so handy to have a walk there and sit down to relax having coffee – but not any more sad to say
