Awesome. Had such a great experience dining here with my partner and mother in law. The staff were generous and friendly and the food was as good as I have had. Thanks very much.

My favorite dish is the Saag Gosht. Large chunks of very tender lamb in a puree spinach, yum. Love the Munster restaurant.

Not good at all. Read the previous reviews – thought I’d give it a go. Originally from England and yep, I know my Indian…:) !!!This is not Indian. This is really sweet , very salty food. Had the butter chicken – sweetness over powered any hint of spice. Chicken jalfrezi – so sweet and mild ( I asked for med) that I threw the whole lot away. Over cooked soggy rice. Dahl had spring onions in it ! ..again sweet and sickly. Naans soggy and salty… Just paid over $90 for food that went in the bin. Also had the papadums ( had better our of a packet) with the mixed pickle ( authentic but out of a jar I’d bet) with raita- ok ish. I really want to support local business but this was one of the worse Indian takeaways that I have had ( and I’ve had quite a few bad ones) . Sorry ..as I hate to write bad things about a small business.

I am writing in response to gemriou’s review. I was the waitress working that night and I would like to defend myself and the other staff. I am furious to read that I was rude to a customer. I pride myself of the level of customer service I provide and feel that I have maintained many friendly and personal relationships with the customers at Bollygood Foods. I distinctly remember handling the return of the curry with respect and understanding. We even provided a replacement curry free of charge with more meat than we would normally include. At our restaurant the chef measures everything that goes into our dishes. He is a very generous man and offers meals at a cheap price when the quality of the dishes is taken into account. I hope that the free naan bread we included with your meal before your complaint was even made provides some compensation and I apologise if I wasn’t as friendly as you would have liked. I hope that you will come back to Bollygood Foods once again to experience the same level of customer satisfaction that all our valued customers brag about to their friends. As for the gentleman that came out to see you on your return, he is a man, not a boy, and was just as anxious as I was to come to a friendly understanding about the issue.

Rude staff and smallest take-away portions I have ever seen. I have never once complained about a meal but I am so fuming right now that I’m writing this review. I have had Bollygood takeaway once before and although thinking it was expensive we remembered that the food was fine. I just went to pick up a take-away meal from Bollygood on the way home from work. When I arrived home and opened the container I discovered that the container was almost all sauce and barely any meat. I had to dig around with a fork to find a couple of pieces of meat swimming in the sauce. We had cooked our own rice to go with it but I expected this dish to feed two people at the price of $17.50! We had plenty of sauce to go on our rice but we would have liked some lamb as well. I rang the shop thinking they had just made a mistake and not put enough meat in. On the phone the girl told me that If I had have ordered rice it would be enough for two people but said if I came back they would sort it out for me. So I drove back and when I got there I was made to feel so horrible for complaining and told that all of the portions are measured and that if I got more meat the last time I was here it was just someone being generous. One of the boys from the kitchen even came out to stare me down and back up what the girl had said. I was trying to complain very politely but it did not go down well with them. I can honestly say that if they are the portion sizes they dish out night after night I will definitely not be returning. The worst thing was the reaction from the staff when I questioned it. I was made to feel like an absolute villain which upsets me because I have never complained about a meal before. I am still angry and writing this review has not made me feel any better.

Loved It!. My daughter and I visited Bollygood tonight after seeing reviews on the internet and we were not disappointed. We had intended getting takeaway but decided to eat in at the last minute. Our entree was poppadums, followed by the curry puffs with raita, these taste every bit as good as the ones in Freo markets. Next we had chicken madras and a vegetable korma, cooked to medium hot as we requested and they were beautiful. Mr Colombo came out to make sure everything was ok and to our liking and was very professional but also very polite and friendlly. The place is no palace but our food was excellent as was the atmosphere and service and I would highly recommend it, we shall definitely be visiting again.
