Wow! The sign says the best fish and chips in WA and honestly it was the worst fish and chips Ive ever eaten in my life! We feel robbed! $130 for 5 bits of flake, chips, 5 potato cakes and two bottles of water! Are you kidding me? DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!
We’d heard good things about this place so my wife and I decided to try it for ourselves, just this evening. The service was what you’d expect, nothing flash or personal but acceptable and the shop itself looked great. Unfortunately that’s where the positives end.We ordered Mackerel & chips and Snapper & chips along with a salad and a 600ml coke. The first surprise was the cost, it was pretty expensive for fish n’ chips and secondly, they don’t take credit cards.The Mackerel was dry and rubbery and the Snapper was worse. It seemed old, not fresh at all. It was very rubbery and unpleasant and I’m not entirely sure it even was Snapper. If we’d dropped it, I’m sure it would have bounced. The chips weren’t what you’d expect from a decent fish ‘n chippy either, more like KFC level. The salad was old with slimy cucumber and the coke wasn’t even cold, only cool.Needless to say, we didn’t eat a lot, we threw most of it in the bin. We didn’t bother to approach the counter to complain as it was just starting to get busy and to be honest, we just couldn’t be bothered. I can’t say we’ll be heading back in a hurry.We left very disappointed.
This was the best fish and chips I have ever had.I ordered the spanish mackeral as it is my favorite and it was supurb.If anything it was too much.Staff were super friendly and it was a good all round experience.I will be back regularly
Absolute overpriced rubbish. Small pieces of fish with masses of chips to justify the ridiculous price tag no doubt.No eftpos… what the?!And horrid chewy squid!1.5 stars is for the view.
Underwhelming, overpriced. Tiny serves. No eftpos (dark ages?). Plastic chairs and dirty tables. Highlight was plastic shark head on wall. Dissatisfied and disappointed.
Not very nice, fish was dry and had probably been frozen then refrozen. Wont be back to waste my money. They say they were voted best fish n chips on the coast, must of bribed the judge.
BEST fish and chips ive had in a long time! Very friendly staff and casual/relaxed atmosphere. Menu is a little pricy but you really get your moneys worth. There is also an amazing view of the ocean!
