A very pleasant surprise. I ate there last Friday and my partner and I were very impressed with the food. I enjoyed the simple pleasures of Bangers and Mash, while she enjoyed battered fish and chips. We ordered simple dishes, as we assumed we would not be disappointed (having had a lot of experience eating at country pubs). We loved it, and will be back. The new chef is doing a great job to lift the standards.
