Disappointed. We took visitors here to have a meal before the Opera on Tuesday 5th March,2015. The service was excellent but the restaurant was let down by the type of food served ( large prawns that had to be handled – no finger bowls) and poor choice. The meal needs to be served within an hour and we have previously had delicious food, quickly served ,here. There is nowhere on their web page for complaints.
Still hungry!. Ordered the fattoush salad for lunch today which was disappointingly small for the price paid. For $21.95 I was still hungry afterwards! Cheaper, bigger and tastier salads can be bought from any food court in Perth for a fraction of the cost! The manager’s response was that no one else had made a complaint. Not really my problem that other people are too shy to voice their opinions. Hopefully they will actually tell the chef. I won’t be going back.
Nice pre show dinner. Haven’t been there for lunch but had dinner with a friend before a show in June, Was a nice surprise too. Had the french onion soup which was very classically made and tasted as it should with a nice strong Gruyere crouton. I had a duck confit for mains which was very nice but maybe could have done with some potato of some sort but it did sit nice and light in my stomach ! my friend had the fillet steak Rossini which was cooked to exactly how he asked , all washed down with a bottle of wine at the very reasonable price of under $120 for the lot. Staff very pleasant and helpful…..i actually ended up enjoying the dinner more than the show (admission one shilling) I will be back !!
Very rude, arrogant service. My latte was bitter and undrinkable and my friend’s flat white was similarly unpleasant. Fantastic location but won’t be returning. Head waiter has a real attitude problem. Tone it down mate: it’s perth, not Paris.
Inconsistent. Had lunch here on August 12th, not my first time. Food serves are quite small but I have always found the quality of ingredients to be good. Maybe worthwhile you serving a slice of bread on the side because lunch is lunch and we need to eat. Servings are small for the $$. I have to say I’ve found the service poor on my recent visits and I come in a couple of times a month, for coffee or lunch. On more than one occassion I’ve sat for 20 minutes before someone has come over to serve me. Once sitting in the lounge area for over half an hour, before being told I had to order coffee at the counter ‘if that was all I wanted’. Having only ever sat at a table, I wonder how I was meant to know this……..maybe a sign is a good idea…..My last 6-8 visits I’ve received snobby attitude from the staff and pretty bad service for an inner city establishment. Time to find another coffee/lunch haunt…..
Have bought coffee from the little cart out the front on many occasions. Delicious! Very friendly service from the girl who works there and well priced. Great for a quick coffee on the way to work!
Bitter coffee. Got the tak…. Bitter coffee. Got the takeaway coffee and I hope it was a bad day. Normally I’ll drink anything but this was truly awful.
