A little cramped and loud but the smell of popcorn on entering was lovely! Cool cocktail list but a tad pricy, found the bar tender a little bit condescending – I know making drinks is his passion but he didn’t have to make my friend feel stupid about ordering a drink. Interiors were cute, liked my drink but not sure I’ll be back due to staff
Bobche came up trumps in the search for a place to have a post-midnight catch up drink on a Friday night. The heady smell of popcorn was very welcoming and the tea was suitably strong in liquor and lovely to sip from china. Great little bar.
So this speakeasy style underground pub was possibly the highlight of my husband and my evening. They’re known for their drunken teapots and free popcorn, however we couldn’t help but get a very strong smell of coconut oil while we were there. It wasn’t a pleasant smell at all and reminded me of those horrific moments growing up when mum would force me to oil my hair. I ordered a passionfruit cocktail and that was quite nice! 🙂 I would definitely go back. thatgirlwhotravels.com
Pop corn machines. Whisky. Red wine. This is a fabulous cloudy day places. Situated at the BHP building it sits amongst many great spots but holds its own. littlegirlbigfood.blogspot.com
The food here is quite nice, little expensive and small servings. Free pop corn! Addictive. The signature cocktail is Long Island ice tea served in China cups and tea pot! All bar tenders sport beards a useless fact. This is small busy place, get noisy and squashy on Friday nights. They play the same old music each night.
Nice wine for decent value. Staff are totally out of their league. Need more training and understanding of their products. Won’t be coming back based on customer service.
Rudest staff I’ve ever come across!!Yes the decor is awesome and the cosy feel is great but when you are waiting for half an hour after they have served everyone else and simply ignore you on purpose it ruins the mood!! Popcorn is great
