  The food in this restaurant is what you expect if you like German sausages and potato salad., the cider is also very good, but I should say that the black forest cake was supreme!. The service is weird our first waiter didn’t change his expression at all and even though the other waitress was nicer it feels that they need the table and are in a hurry for you to finish the food. I’ll come back because I really like the desserts.

  Germans are renown for their food.No, they are renown for their cars and Brotzeit confirms this.The staff were helpful and friendly. But the food…..My pork belly with bacon leeks and ‘hash’ was like deep fried overcooked/burnt lumps of pork, the leeks were nowhere to be seen, the ‘hash’ was dry and tasteless, that was it. The kind waiter noticed I hadn’t finished it, after speaking with the Chef, a dish of apple sauce was delivered to somehow redeem the dish, nothing could redeem it, let alone some tasteless processed applesauce. One friend had the Worst with pork belly etc, the worst really was the worst I have eaten, we agreed that it tasted like the smell of harsh floor cleaner. My other friend had the dumplings with mushroom ragout. The taste of the ragout was not objectionable, however on eating it was clear that the dried mushrooms used were not rehydrated properly before cooking and were like chewing through bark, this topped with three globs of tasteless potato and flour.The apple strudel was lousy. Desserts, cakes and bread are something I have enjoyed in Germany, but tinned apples without taste, lousy pastry, a scoop of ice cream, $14.00 seriously?An elegant family next to us complained about their food also.I’m sorry but this food, all that we had and the table next to us at least, was appalling and not cheap either.

  Made a reservation through quandoo and only call up a day earlier to check on the booking. On the day of the booking, we arrived 30min before the booking and the table was already set. Their draft beer was 50% off during Happy hour which runs from 4pm-5.30pm. I dont enjoy the pretzel at all as it was hard and tough. The German ravioli was a disaapointment. The supreme platter and sausage platter on the other hand is amazing. They were out of apple strudel so we ordered sticky date pudding and black forest cake. They were pretty average I would say, wouldnt pay 14 bucks for a slice of average cake. But overall the meat and beer is to die for.

  Been here a few years ago and this is second time here and they have changed their menu. Waited a long time for the pretzel to be brought out given there werent many tables at the time but shortly after that the main dishes were brought to our table. We had sausage platter: very good! Loved the condiments especially the honey mustard. Barramundi: very dry and bland, would never order that again (why order fish at a German restaurant what was I thinking). Vegetable stew: the dish was cooked well but just quite bland for my liking.
