Charcuterie plate was really nice with pickled veggies. Fennel salad was nice but needed some acidity. The wasabi pea salmon dish was superb. Great views. Smart casual setting with great meals. We saw three women put away a huge plate of lamb shoulder. Would feed six!! Looked delicious. The steak menu looked great with chateaubriand. Disappointed with the chips though… steak frites with bearnaise was an old must winebar favourite of mine. Id love to see the old must chef make that again!! Please consider serving frites instead of thick chips 🙂
Gorgeous setting, fabulous service, nice range of drinks on the menu. The food menu is not huge, but caters to a variety of tastes, showcasing fresh produce in appetising and fresh ways. There is a large selection of steaks/meat, but plenty for vegos. We had the charcuterie plate, which was a very generous serve of well made pork tasties. We shared 3 entrees, the pork belly, heirloom beetroot, and cured salmon. All were well made, beautifully presented, generous portions. I found the pork belly and scallops dish had too much apple on it and a little sweet, but I am not a sweet tooth. We then stuffed ourselves with the olive ravioli to finish, mainly because we couldnt decide which dessert to try.It was all fabulous, I would definitely go back. All this food, plus a g&t each cost less then $160.
We had a wonderful lunch at Ficus last week. They have great value lunch specials, the service was excellent and the food with beautifully presented, imaginative and delicious. We were accompanied by four French friends who are self-described foodies and they said it was the best meal they had during their six-weeks in Australia. We’ll definitely be back!
