I’ve had drinks on a Friday night a few times. We like the Gramercy because it seems to be happy hour all night long although officially it’s between 5pm to 6pm. However I’ve never been charged more than $6 for a glass of house wine or $10 for an espresso martini. The place is buzzing on Friday arvos. We had dinner here for the first time while we watched the footy on their TVs and the food was decent. $104 for dinner for 4: sausage rolls, grilled fish and chips, fried squid with Asian slaw, tasting board (cured salmon, chorizo, fried chicken, crispy polenta, pickles, bread), arancini and an extra bowl of chips. My favourite were the sausage rolls, least was the arancini because they were cold in the middle. Portions could’ve been a bit bigger but all in all, good pub grub.
Perfect location in central CBD for a drink after work. Love the beef sliders and the cured salmon starter. Gramercy’s layout/decor is fairly predictable but the outlook onto Central Park and surrounds is what sets it apart from the CBD pubs and the indoor bars.
Like this place for the convenience of after work city drinks and the happy hour drinks are absolutely worth it.They sell $5 snacks during these times that is pretty good and the espresso martinis are only $10, best deal between 5 & 6. I found the food to be worth what you pay no culinary masterpieces but comforting and tasty.
Great location.. shame about the food. .After telling the waitress about the yuk food the manager was over in a flash. He refunded the money despite us declining. . but we were still left with a bad taste. He tried his best to make amends however I won’t be going back.
Pleasant service but if you like medium or large portions don’t eat here. I complained and they added more with no problems.Taste bland pretty ordinary my wife felt the same.We had the risotto & kofta. Very disappointing would not eat here again
Reserved a table but was told on arrival to ‘just look around to find our Reserve sign’ rather than being shown to our table (forgivable if it was busy, but it wasn’t at all). Ordered several plates includind Pizza Bianca, Fish Tacos and Cuttlefish. Pizza Bianca was just toasted bread slices with dukka and balsamic/evoo, the Fish Taco was DRY and flavourless and the Cuttlefish was too salty. Really disappointed.
The old e’Cucina. Not the same standard but for a pub atmosphere with a decent feed for a reasonable price it is worth a try. Very friendly staff, efficient and quality. Enjoy!
