Arrived with high hopes at Hadiqa being a big fan of middle eastern inspired food and promises of a funky, sophisticated bar setting to eat it in. We were greeted and seated on one of the low narrow wall benches overlooking the courtyard which was ok for myself but a bit awkward for my partner who is quite tall. We ordered the pita bread (the basket it was served in was not lined with anything and felt a bit grimy – not the most hygienic thing), haloumi was next which was served with a a rather odd tasting orange chutney. The lamb kebab was good (and filling), and in comparison the lamb almond fig fire was a bit sickly, heavy and sweet. The two worst dishes were the cauliflower (soggy and absolutely drowned in tahini – the flavour was completely off), and the potato garlic feta – a bowl of chips heavily coated with spices and crumbled feta, we actually looked at each other in disbelief when these came out (the flavour combo did NOT work, these were awful). Ordered the chocolate baklava out of curiosity and was left disappointed ending the night on a low. The place itself has a great vibe and ambience, staff were very hard to pin down for service even though there were a lot rushing past. Food just wasnt on par – would come back for drinks but not for a meal.

Welcome to Hadiqa, a new middle restaurant in the new Westin Hotel in Perrh CBD! I had a great experience dining at Hadiqa, from the moment I enter, I was already amazed by the new, beautiful, artisticly designed restaurant! The restaurant is spacious with plenty sittings (many different type of sittings too from normal chair, high chair, sofas, etc). The staffs are ultra friendly and polite. We ordered All the kebab haha, yes there were 3 types: eggplant, chicken and lamb and we ordered all 3. Each kebab is cut into 4 so we can share them. My favorite is the Lamb, followed by the eggplant. The lamb kebab is very delicious with juicy meat and perfect blend of herbs. We also ordered the cauliflower salad which is really good. I am not into vegie, but this is amazing. It taste so different, and the cauliflower is coted coted with herba and sauce making it so good. Finally we ordered the haloumi which is also good but I found the sauce rather bitter so I end ip eating the haloumi without. Overall I really enjoy eating at Hadiqa and would definitely come back again!

I will start off by asking, why? Why is the staff trained to dissuade customers from ordering more food? There were 7 of us, and I wanted to order two bread baskets to share (some of which were a bit stale); got talked out of it. We wanted to get the haloumi, but waitress said its not great for sharing, said I shouldnt order it. The wait times were too long in between getting our bread, then one kebab, then mains. The Potato, garlic, feta is actually just fries sprinkled with feta crumbs and spice powder. The dishes are expensive – as what you get is miniscule for the price. 28 bucks for a measly 4 or maybe 5 tiny pieces of lamb. We ordered all four of the Fire mains, the prawn was probably most worth it, and the cheapest!7 of us were seated on a tiny, low table where we spent most of the meal hunched over. The only rooftop we got to experience was a sliding window slightly opened, maybe large enough to stick ones head through. It was so stuffy and uncomfortable inside, last thing youd expect from a rooftop bar. We left disappointed, hungry and for the most part, conned and duped. Wont be back.

We have been here a few times now, and each time they havent disappointed. Absolutely delicious food served here. We had the eggplant kebab with harissa and honey; green couscous salad with zucchini and lemon; beetroot salad with chestnut and tahini; olives with harissa; chicken with lentil and fenugreek; cauliflower salad with ras el hanout and yoghurt; pita bread (soft and crispy) with fava sweet onion sesame dip, eggplant capsicum almond dip, and yoghurt pomegranate herb dip; pork with saffron and bee pollen; and potato garlic and feta salad. The dips were just delicious and complimented the pita breads perfectly. The eggplant kebab is also one of my favourites. Love the spices they used in the potato salad. Definitely coming back. Also recommend booking if you can because it does get quite busy!

We had lunch with the convention team. Most ordered the Moroccan express lunch box for$25. It had a chicken kebab in lower box. Upper box had the cauliflower salad, lady finger dessert and bread for dips. I shared the chicken fire & beef fire dish. Beef melts in the mouth tagine. It was pleasant & we had the complementary ginger tea. Worth visiting with friends or business associates. Morrrrrocccannn delicious.

I love middle eastern food and lunch at Hadiqa was up the standard. The Marrakesh Express was great value and very tasty. Will be back for more!

Consistency is key to me giving great reviews. Certainly my first visit to Hadiqa was impressive – knowledgeable service, a twist on a traditional food theme and thoughtfully put together setting. So impressed was I that I took friends for a second visit – only to find inexperienced staff, flavourless bites and a lack of ambience.Such is the fickle nature of dining in Perth at present. However, I am heading back soon for the best of three opportunity, and will update accordingly.
