A RATHER dissapointing lunch at Hi Thai in Enex Perth CBD despite my love for Thai food. Oh, where do I begin? I ordered the $12.90 for 4 dishes: sweet beef, green curry chicken, red curry beef, and spiy squid. The staff wasn’t friendly while she dumped all the meat (which included different types of curry sauces cause I ordered both red and green curry) on top of each other, just mixing all of them. While some may argue it looked artistically appealing, it did mess with the flavor as I found all of them tasted the same. To make it worse, the chicken was hard and the beef was chewy it was hard to swallow. Also they probably had a bit too much vegetables in what was supposed to be a meat dish. I didn’t think it’s worth the $12.90 you paid. Overall I had a really not good experiencePS: did anybody else notice they serve fork and knife for a rice dish..
I think I probably had my last ever Hi Thai meal here today. Firstly and most importantly the prices are just too hard to swallow, not really sure how a small combo can rack up $12 with no noodles or rice. Dont think I get the real thai experience here from the food. Seafood vegetables are almost just crappy crab meat and sweet and sour just sweet and lame. Unfortunately a little dissapointing.
I like to sit at the high bench in the Enex100 food hall, overlooking the tree tops in the Hay Street Mall. It’s a shame my lunch from Hi Thai did not give me the same pleasure – extremely salty stir fried veggies and overly sweet basil beef with no discernible basil.
Oh my goodness… do not eat here! I had a 3 meat combo with noodle and most of it was inedible. Noodles were gluggy and flavorless, the seafood combo was suspicious and mushy, the red curry beef was sickly sweet and the cashew chicken was dry but the only thing I could eat.
Decided to try something different at Enex 100 for lunch. Good range of pre-made items to choose from for combinations, as well as cook to order and takeaway. Service was definitely lacking, with a not so happy money handler. Had the standard Chicken Pad Thai – noodles were quite dry, lacked meat but the tangy flavour was sufficiently pronounced. Their pre-made dishes were apparently quite flavourless according to my colleague Ems A Foodie – so watch out.
TERRIBLE!!!!!! Worst Customer Service I have experienced. I will NEVER return!!! Rude, Argumentative, bad attitude. AVOID this place at all costs!!
I had the Seafood Curry Laksa and was satisfied with it, although there could have been more seafood. The spicy level was good, as I love my hot and spicy foods. I would have it again.
