Don’t like the coffee :(. Tasted burnt? Haven’t had a good coffee here since they opened some time ago. Stick to Greenhouse.
Great little ‘underground’ find, it had just started raining so I shot down a few stairs and had a lovely coffee, good friendly service and free wifi. Could do with a name on the outside ?
Hole in the wall place with great coffee… Hidden gem
Let down.. I get a little worried about the turn over of staff for Howard Street and Ristretto. I have since stopped drinking coffee at both locations as i have noticed a burnt tang to it, their roast is far too dark. Is Dimattina still roasting for them? Could be the reason why it is still so dark and unpleasant.
Have to try the Cinnamon Scrolls for breakfast!02 Sep, 2011Have got a new batch of coffee beans from Ethiopia that’s just been roasted by Emmanuel. It’s called ‘Operation Red Cherry’ & is $14 for a 250g bag.23 Mar, 2011I just love the coffee here. The owner/barista is so knowledgeable about coffee & extracts such a beautiful flavour from the beans.
The Best. Popped in for a coffee and we had the best coffees we have had since we moved to Perth (4 years ago) Obviously passionate about their craft, we will be back. And what a spot, across from Andaluz and Helvetica, all we need now is a handbag shop in Howard street!
Fautless. Had no doubts that emmanuels new sit down cafe on howard st would serve the same level of truly outstanding coffee as the original ristretto in 160 central. nothing but the finest ingredients and roasting practices finished off by well trained, passionate and friendly staff. since opening in 2010, over half of our 100 office staff have made this place their new regular for coffee. always a good atmosphere as well. range of fresh made stecca rolls are very tasty as well!
