Its a nice place to sit and they have a selection quiches, sandwiches, sweet treats. I had a toasted ham and cheese sandwich. Ham was nice but for what I got 7.50 is a lot. Its on the pricey side for lunch if you want to order off the menu. Counter savoury choice is limited. My friends quiche looked nice.
Looking at the reviews, Some have said the coffee here is bitter. But in my opinion thats actually the intention. French coffee is usually stronger and more bitter then the often bland and more sweet blends which many Australian coffee shops seem to serve. So yes. I like the coffee here and Im a regular. Occasionally it can be not hot enough especially if they are busy. The pastries are excellent. Other food is nothing to write home about. But its a coffee shop and bakery for goodness sake. Some people have unreasonable expectations when reviewing, methinks.
Worst customer experience in a LONG time.Incorrectly charged for a coffee and cake $22.00. Couldnt refund on my card only cash.Desert was warmed up in the microwave. Received the coffee but cake never arrived.Granted before closing there are some cleaning duties, but i was vacuumed around and then mopped around. 1.5 hrs before closing.Didnt bother asking for the cake just left.If they dont want my custom id rather they said so than take the money and then make me feel Im an inconvenience.
The food was delicious even from small things like salad dressing. The ingredients were fresh and of good quantity. Voted Australia Best Bakery? I could not see the stack of bread, just lonely baskets. Food handling and cafe management are improvement areas. Training would be good for the staff.
Revisited this cafe recently, and enjoyed a coffee and croissant . Croissants are Devine, crunchy buttery and just dam yum. Coffee was good , but had a bitter taste . Previously I have ordered a macaroon cake from here and although a tad pricey it was incredibly good . Can get very busy here and noisy but really worth it .
Service was excellent, extremely friendly and attentive however my coffee was average. Not bad, I ordered a cappucino and got a watery flat white although they are very cheap. At only $3 I went to use the Entertainment Book so it was a bargain at $1.50 each and it wasn’t awful – the tables outside are nice in the sunshine and the coffee came reasonably fast. I’d give it another go.
I scoffed the pumpkin feta salad and a cheeky honey macadamia macaron. Both were pretty yummy! Prices were very good and this place is also in the entertainment book. They could wipe down a few tables though.
