Jumplings is always a quality feed for not much money. It’s great they finally have a permanent location in Raine Square. My go to is the duck dumplings with chilli sauce. Highly recommended.
When Hubby knew Jumplings open at Rain Square food court, he wanted to go and try their famous dumplings. We ordered Duck & Chicken Dumplings plus a Duck Noodle Bowl. We really like the Duck Dumplings, very tasty and got strong herb flavour. Chicken Dumplings weren’t as nice as duck, but still good. One thing that put us off was the soup got extremely bitter taste. We’re not sure if it’s the coriander or lime leaves or something else but after a couple of spoons it got really unpleasant to eat. My sister even bought Subway cookies to get rid of the bitterness. We preferred mayo instead of the chilli sauce to eat the dumplings.
2 duck and 2 chicken as recommended by the smiling lady at the counter. The chicken was alright. Nothing too special but the duck was outstanding! I loved the sauces and chilli fresh cut cabbage with coriander it was wonderful. I feel like if they had top up the cabbage a bit more I would have been better for there was lots of wonderful sauce at the bottom of the cup and at $8; 20 cents of cabage would have been good but other than that a wonderful and new experience.
Oh no…!! The one day I totally craved for Jumplings – rainy day is perfect for a noodle bowl, mind you – and after only a few bite, I had to ditch it…Part of my udon was half-cooked. The shredded cabbage (is that a day old?) was rather bitter. And the soup? A taste combination of sour and bitter, and spicy from the chilli sauce, with a tinge of coriander leaves. I was still hungry, cold and wet (from walking and waiting outdoor), and with a funny taste on my mouth.What happened?? The first time I was there, my dish was great. Flavoursome, fresh, and worth recommending to others. For the price, $ 9.50 for chicken jumplings with noodle, and friendly service, I was happily promoting it to my colleagues.Bad day, eh?

If only I could have jumplings everyday! Made fresh with perfect flavours We had the opportunity to try these jumplings we had heard so much about yesterday at south Perth streats and oh my goodness, it was amazing! I had the seafood jumplings, we had to wait 15 mins or so (we were informed of this upon ordering) as they are made fresh but we did not mind one bit!!On top of that, service was brilliant! Cannot wait to have another one!!
I would follow this food truck if I could! Jumplings are the bomb. I love the lobster dumpling special, it’s so rich and flavoursome and soft. The soup it is served with is so unique and I love the soba noodles. The duck Jumplings are super too. Fingers crossed they’ll be around at the Fringe Festival.
