Came here one night to wait on a friend and have a couple beers. Not a bad place, but wish there were more craft beers to choose from. This is a bar (in the Northbridge area of Perth) that turns into a club… There’s a bar on one side, a small dance floor near the entrance, some pool tables, and an elevated floor in another corner with tables… I would have liked to stay a bit longer.

Angry, aggressive door staff. Good vibe, cheap drinks, not the classiest of places but was good for a laugh on the night in question. The band weren’t the best but they had people up dancing and everyone was enjoying themselves. Shame that the door staff found it necessary to throw people out for having a bit too much fun. One guy decided to demonstrate his break dancing skills (causing no offence or harm to anyone else) – people were cheering him on and he was grabbed by two members of doorstaff (one on each arm) and whisked straight out the door. That was the last we saw of him. When it happened a second time we decided to leave (again, some poor guy dancing away, having a good time, was very quickly removed). Me and my partner were only on our third drink so fairly sober and I was totally shocked at the way people were being treated. I refused to spend anymore money in the place! When we got outside, the second guy that had been taken out was lying face down on the ground. Is this how you treat paying customers?! The friendly security guys called me a mouthy bitch for questioning it. Will never step food in this dive again.
I felt the security guards were really rude. 2 girls + 1 guy not allowed in due to wearing shorts on a 30+ degree day. Atmosphere looked average anyways. Went to nearby Northbridge Brewery which was busy and much better
Nice beer good atmosphere, stay away from the pin ball machine $2.00 for one ball per game a F #### rip off !!
Good lunch spot. The legendary Mustang Bar has an American roadhouse/diner feel about it and now has a good American style lunch menu which I tried the other day. Burgers, Hot Dogs, Nachos are all authentic and made to order with quality produce. At around $10 it is as good value lunch as you can get in Perth and definitely the best in Northbridge.
Mustang Bar value. I’ve had quite a few great steak sandwiches while listening to fabulous live music at the Mustang on a Thursday and Friday night. $10 gets tender steak, french fries and fab fresh grilled flavours. A couple of times (including a memorably long pre-xams lunch) I’ve had the same except for the same price they throw in a midi or a beer! best value lunch if you’re near or at Northbridge!
