A colleague told me about this place and decided to lunch there today. Tried the fried kway teow, after all the fantastic review. Not what I had expected. Not that it is bad but rather not the taste I expect a traditional fried kway teow to be. The serving is very generous though. You will definitely walk away filled. Very quick service and a queue will start to form during lunch time peak hour.
Ordered the hainanese chicken rice and it was pretty average. The rice wasnt as aromatic as i thought it would be and the chicken is too hard for my liking. Average food, quick friendly service, big portion for $10. Will come back for the char kuey teow and hopefully it ll amaze me.Update sept 2018: came back for the kuey teow, it was really good. Huge portion, not too oily, I asked for spicy and it came out spicy but not too empowering.
