Have read some of the old reviews but it’s all not true. Agree it’s new owner but love the new dishes,Since he took over last year there’s lots of new dishes which we can’t find in Perth.Good thing that I tried it myself with friends and families and all of us love it.We went there tonight there’s was a pot of soup ( new menu) placed outside the shop to let us try, which we can’t find this in Perth. There’s claypot rice being cooked directly on the stove, not where some places it just add cooked rice and top with cooked meat. But with this dish you just have to be patient to wait it might take about half an hour to be serve. If you love fried fish, fried flounder with chillies, garlic and salt its so good and cheap.Mr Li is very nice and accommodating he always happy to have feedback from customers so he can improve.Price reasonable too.Keep Up The Good Cooking Mr Li.

We were surprised with quality of food, very traditional Chinese dinner place. Went there with friends and family, enjoyed the meal. Certainty go again and try other dishes.

Restaurant name changed already – new owners. Service is terrible, having to wait more than 30 minutes for oysters to come and then we saw other diners, who just CAME in and ordered their meals but received dishes earlier than us?

15 years ago I used to dine there and it was OK, nothin out of ordinary. But I recently went back and had a few dishes there. OMG it jogged back my memories of eating in CHina town with friends 18 years ago. The peking spareribs with sala sauce opened my appetite as one of the most tastiest Peking ribs in Perth. It’s crunchy and fit on well with many bowls of rice. Mr Lee was also accommodating as I told him I had a condition and that MSG will screw my heart rate and dries my body out if I had too much and he cooked mine up with some MSG or even chicken stock. I see lots of people eating at the other places nearby but those places the food dont taste as good. But I guess people flock to groups and follow a crowd and miss out on gems like this one. I went in by pure chance and order a few simple dishes and it came out exceeding my expectation. Then I went back and order the same dish and tryi8ng a few of the more authentic chinese cuisine and the Chef came out and check to see who is the fussy fellow ands we had a chat. If I let him know in advance he can make some of the hardest and rarest chinese dishes. Of course it will be quite pricey, lol…..But I do enjoy dining there and the chef Mr Lee has good experience. The food is good and service is OK and it is priced just right. Great Restaurant, Hopefully people knows how to appreciate great things

Do not eat here without calculating and questioning everything on the bill FYI the duck is not fresh. 2 duck noodle 4 spring rolls kai lan tea for 1 . 2 cokes 1 water cost 50.00 Rip off for average quality food with old stale duck.

A real let down. He: I would rather go hungry than eat there again! She: Seeking for a cheapeat supper, we do not care for the ambience or decor. We only expect good food and if the service is pleasant, it sure is a bonus. But this Chinese restaurant is a real let down. The service is fine but all five dishes ordered were either too bland or overly sour (in the case of the Szechuan soup). The lack of customers was a warning to us … one that we did not heed!Rate: 3/10

Yum, fun and Very Reasonable. We ventured down to Northbridge to check out Chinatown for the first time. As Singapore China Town had such a good rating we thought it would be the best choice to start with. We found a great atmosphere, bustling & happy diners. The staff were very welcoming and the service prompt & informative. We ordered a selection of entrees & mains. My personal favourite is Prawn Toast and theirs was the best I’ve ever had. The clams in XO sauce, garlic scallops & veggies, chilli pepper squid and crispy soft shell crab were standout mains … All true to flavour and delicious. Hubby had the crispy duck which was different from anywhere else with an added batter-like coating on the bottom. Personally I didn’t like that part but the duck itself was good. I wouldn’t recommend the Mee Goreng but as this is not traditional Chinese I should have known better. The fried rice was a lot fluffier than I’ve had before but possibly that’s healthier?!? As it was hubby’s birthday they surprised us with deep fried ice cream in coconut batter with a candle in & a bottle of wine! The final surprise was the bill: $130 for 4 entrees, 6 mains & 2 containers full of leftovers. Great value! Highly recommended 🙂
