Hidden Gem!Visited this cozy cafe along Barrack Street on 2 occasions and had the latte, iced matcha and an iced latte. Drinks were fab! Coffees were smooth and rich, and the matcha is probably one of the best in Perth. Didn’t get to try the selection of bagels and pastries they had in store but everything looked yummy. Service was friendly and efficient. Absolutely adored the quirky artwork by Kyle Hughes-Odgers as well. Love how bright and spacious this place is, very scandi and relaxing. I will definitely be back for more!
A regular morning location for me, they take the time to remember your name and usual order – great service backed up with great coffee. Tried one of the croissants once, not bad either. Go before 9am for the special coffee prices.
There are not many places in Perth that serve coffee between 7am and 9am for only $3. I ordered a long mac topped up and it was made just the way I like it (they do charge $3.50 for these). I also tried one of their bagels – ham cheese and pineapple which was extremely filling but really delicious. I also thought the staff were really friendly, I will be back! perthfoodexplorer.blogspot.com
This spot is a little hidden and was quite quiet when visiting at lunch time but the coffee was good and the green tea soft serve was yummy! Small selection of food was available in the cabinet including some interesting things like pandan chia pudding.
Rather than wait until the traditional primary school ‘recess’ time we decided to venture out for a pre work coffee and croissant…well and a matcha latte too truth be known. And disappointment was not anywhere to be seen. The latte was a little bitter at the beginning (Perth trend me thinks) but mellowed into a flavoursome brew. The matcha received positive reviews, and although not ranking as the best in Perth it ranks highly. Notably creamy and not too bitter, for the more delicate matcha palates out there. The croissant was ok, not the best and the pastry was a little bland. Would have benefited from warming (which in fairness we declined!)The place itself was new and fresh with rather pleasant, green themed decor. The bagels on display tempted me strongly and it won’t be long before I head back to try. Overall good opening hand, looking forward to the second round.
Yay! Another good matcha spot in the CBD! Other end of town for me but I’d make the journey every once in a while. Creamy soy matcha latte, not insipid as a few I’ve tried of late, but not the 5 star taste I’ve managed to find (twice). Coffee started off bitter but improved (4/5). The chocolate croissant was ok. Flaky but didn’t have a buttery taste. A heating would have disguised that but I wanted to experience it au naturel. Gentle friendly service. Nice decor (Japanese/Scandi) with a surprising amount of seating for a coffee place. There was a lovely display filled with baguettes, bagels, chia puddings (Pandan! Rose!) and the like. Actually I’d come back to try a chia pudding and a bagel me thinks. Watch this space.
New gem on Barrack Street! Keep your eyes open because you don’t want to miss this!! Such friendly service and GREAT coffee!!! Currently feeding my coffee addiction!!!
