in the back of David Jones food hall is a cafe… this is one of my go to places to eat, the salads and mains are always super fresh, with interesting ingredients and perfect dressings. but for me, the jewel in this place is the cakes, rare it is to find such freshness, care and attention to flavour combos… and the icing… if i could take a moment of your time;its smooth, light, not sticking in the mouth, not overly sweet and always spiked with a flavour that compliments the cake its with… think ginger with pear and macadamia, coffee with walnut and apple. if for this alone, please try.

I have been going to Sally’s for years and LOVE the food they provide. It is consistently great. The service has always been amazing. Sally is always lovely. And most times even when its crazy busy the staff take orders and are efficient and pleasant. However, yesterday and today one young staff member (blonde) had the WORST customer service skills and was extremely rude and abrupt. It was so disappointing to be served by her and it really made me sad to see such a great business be tarnished by poor attitude from one staff member.
Can’t fault it!. I love this place! Everything I’ve had here is wonderful! The staff are lovely and helpful when I can’t decide which cake to have lol My absolute favourite dessert would have to be the Ricotta, Berry and Dark Chocolate Crumble. I am telling you I have dreams about this, it’s soo good. Seriously, I’m not exaggerating when I tell you I have probably had about 50 slices this year. Other favourites would be the Chocolate Butterscotch Cheesecake and the Lemon Blueberry Cheesecake (these two make a special appearance every now and then so I suggest you try them when you see them).They also do a delicious homemade granola which is served with a yummy compote.If I come for lunch my usual would be the Roasted Vegetable Flatini, it’s really good and generously filled with home roasted vegetables. The rosemary on top of the turkish bread really compliments the whole thing. I’ve also tried the salads which are quite good and really fresh (I’ve included a picture of the Red Quinoa Salad – it’s served tidier but I’d already started eating it haha).Overall, I’d highly recommend it – and I do! Everything is made there and you can tell, because it tastes fresh and is also very interesting – I don’t think any wholesalers could supply anything comparable to the deliciousness of the desserts and salads at Sally Jones & Co Cafe.
OMG Gluten Free Heaven !. What an absolute winner for the Perth CBD. This place knows about healthy eating and gluten free. Most savoury dishes and a good selection of sweets are gluten free…and I don’t mean boring either! Wonderfully healthy choices of salads and meats. Using fresh local products such as Mt Barker Chickens and organic veggies there are many yummy healthy choices. I am going to spread the word! Located in the David Jones Food Court. Sally Jones and Co Cafe do an amazing range of food from healthy salads to spelt flour cakes fresh from the oven! They also do a huge range of vegan and vegetarian. They have a ‘superfood’ range too like power balls, raw dehydrated coconut macarons, cacao powder, maca powder ect…Quite simply the best! Great vibe, superb food and amazing organic fiori coffee! Love this place.
