Love their $2 tacos! So cheap, and they taste great too! Crispy taco shells are the way to go, and they really stuff it with fillings. Too bad they don’t do all the flavours they used to for tacos – like the battered fish bahja. You have to be a member to get the x2 deal though, and it was for Tuesdays.
Mucho Protein Bowl was below average. The flavours were kind of there but the gaucamole was just avocado which was hard, the beans were obviously scraped from a container that was left unsealed as it was partially dry and the rice was also dry. Portion-wise the bowl was not mucho at all. The young lady and man who served me were lovely and professional.
It isn’t completely the stores fault that I didn’t like the fully loaded chips – it’s that they removed a dish similar to this one which offered a lot more meat, sour cream & guacamole. However the meat tasted weird. Really weird. The chips on the other hand was over seasoned thus was a lil’ salty. I do really love the chips Salsas offered generally. On a side note, I loved the salsa fresca!
Not the best Mexican you’ll ever taste but for a chain store and for a quick bite to eat Salsas is a good option. My husband had the pulled pork burrito which he enjoyed with the really good spiced chips. I had the baja steak burrito bowl which was surprisingly big and filling. The steak was really tender and I enjoyed the salad and rice flavours. Could have done with a bit more of a kick and stronger flavours but all in all a tasty lunch. Even better that it’s on the Entertainment Card for an excellent value lunch. lifelovetravelfood.wordpress.com
Taco Tuesday! That’s the only reason I visit Salsa’s in city! That’s the only time it is worth the money $2 for that small piece of 2-3bites taco! I mean seriously, I would not pay more than $2. Unless, they reduce the size during taco Tuesday – which they don’t (I asked the guy). Nonetheless, having tried all the different flavors,I saythe pulled pork and 14-hour beef are my favourite tacos. But the highlight for me would definitely be the Mexicrinckles – still, one the best chips in town! Sometimes I go here just to get the mexicrincles to munch during work, such a guilty pleasure xP
I rarely eat Mexican often but today just don’t know what else to eat. Bought Pulled Pork Burrito in the bowl. Pulled pork and condiments were nice. However, I don’t understand why they had to charge $2 extra to make it a burrito bowl when the serving is so small?!?!
Went with a couple of friends to try the $2 tacos on Tuesday. Didn’t have very high hopes but was pleasantly surprised. The beans were well spiced and the veggies inside were nice and crisp. It was simple but very well done
