  The beautiful decor and setting of this restaurant had my expectations set pretty high when we came here for dinner on a Saturday night. We were seated and given somewhat awkward over sized menus to pore over. Seeking guidance on what to order, we queried our waitress for recommendations on any signature dishes, to which she seemed quite taken aback and unprepared for, before unconvincingly pointing to a simple prosciutto entree & making her escape. The service went progressively downhill from there with no less than 7 (non-engaging) different wait staff attending our table, asking us the same questions we had been asked minutes earlier, and delivering items to our table we had not ordered. Food wise, it was a rather disappointing affair, given that this restaurant is meant to be a somewhat high end Italian trattoria. We settled on the hand crafted bread bowl, crostoli pastry puffs (average), Tuna carpaccio (pleasant), Zucchini flowers (nicest dish of the night), Snapper ceviche (nice), Seaweed pasta (average), Lamb ragu pasta (disappointing), Crostata mushroom tart (least favourite), Pea salad (essentially just cold peas) & the Cauliflower gratin (very watery). We asked our waitress if the pasta was hand made (it was very evident it wasnt) and she confirmed that it was in fact all packet pasta – quite disappointing at an Italian restaurant when you are paying upwards of $30 for a serve. As we were leaving, we were sent off by the female hostess with a (I kid you not) have a great night peeps!, to which we didnt know whether to laugh or cringe at the terrible lack of professional service in such a beautiful high end venue.

  One of the best hotel and also resto in Perth. Located in CBD so it easy to find the hotel. Which also can be reach by free public transportation. Staff are friendly and warm.

  Throwback to delicious food and great company @santinibarandgrill . We ordered some cocktails to begin and they were delicious. We shared: Organic hand crafted bread bowl; Wood grilled octopus with pancetta, green peppers, fermented garlic and basil; Crisp crostoli pastry puffs with 9+ wagyu Bresaola and reggiano; Crostini di Tonno- tuna belly tartare with preserved lemon, marjoram and nota chilli; Crostini Corsican Capocollo- dry aged pork neck shoulder with black garlic anchovies spread; Zucchini blossom- buffalo ricotta and real truffle honey and Persian pistachios; Casarecce con Funghi pasta; Rough cut Fettuccine spicy duck bolognese with duck crackling; Wood fired pickled mushrooms pizza- Taleggio, Mozzarella, Thyme, garlic and lemon; and Cacio e pepe Clams- 20 month aged Pecorino, Mozzarella, Burrata, and spiced pancetta. My favourite was definitely the Casarecce con Funghi pasta. Absolutely delicious. If you are a cheese lover, the pizzas are definitely not shy on the cheese! Would definitely come back to try some other dishes and have their cocktails again!Note: I booked he restaurant online for a group of 6. There was a requirement of your credit card detail and a fee if there were change in numbers at the last minute.
