Plenty of JAPANESE food both sushi and rice meal offered and ready to take and go, allowing quick lunch during busy working hours. They even packed the hot meal like teriyaki rice dish on the container ready to go. This comes at the expense of if you don’t eat straight away it makes the rice a bit soggy. Taste is average, but the price is cheap. Price is reduced during closing hours – yet even so sometimes they still make and pack fresh chicken katsu mea (apparently their best seller) – so this is a bargain. I like the variety especially the sushi. Friendly staff, the uncle is nice and aways smile.
We visited them on Sunday lunch and ordered a Teriyaki fish, the teriyaki fish was okay, but loved their side salad. The sauce was so generous and so tasty. The only downside was the service. The lady who served us was not friendly at all, no smile and a little bit rude.
This has always been my favorite place to go to as the sashimi is always so fresh. unfortunately today my sashimi had bones in it. Very disappointed.
Love the fresh salads. The rest of the fare has sweet sauces all over the meat but the food seems to be good quality. Brusque, efficient service hits the mark for quick lunch
Shogun Sushi is located in the basement food court of Carillon, very near the stairs that lead you to the Hay Street Mall.There is a large range of hot and cold Japanese food.My only complaint would be, that the sauce for the salads (beef, chicken teriyaki salad, etc) be served separately as the lettuce becomes soggy very quickly.
Have been a loyal customer of shogun sushi, although many Perth Japanese restaurants are now arising this place is still always on my mindProbably the two best places along with is Donburi This place always had a wide range of bentos to choose from and its take away bentos like fish teriyaki and katsu chicken are always yummyPaying around 14 for chicken bento that will definitely fill me up and taste yummy is so worth, they used to give spring roll and dumpling with the bento but it’s now seaweed and squid salad, still yummy though, a good balance of salad, chicken, sushi and rice and really affordable
Excellent and value for money.. My favorite place to go for lunch. They have a wide variety of bento sets, meals and sushi. Must try their teriyaki chicken, katsu chicken and grilled salmon – simply awesome! Their serving also quite a lot, value for money.
