For my initial days in Perth, this was the first Indian food place I found and only North Indian place I ate at and even today I pick stuff up from this place, especially like their Goat curry and chicken preparations. Their breads are not great and I didnt like the Chole Bhature much however, I do go back for the curries.
The service in this place was just appalling. I can’t imagine how in this day and age, they can have different rules for different people. A mate of mine who happens to be white went there to get his phone stamped for his food and 2 other friends who didn’t have the app installed and the lady serving him allowed it. I tried to do the same and she said no. Wow….in this day and age, double standards is just not acceptable. The food was also bad. the rice has been constantly under cooked and the dishes are sometimes way too salty. Will not recommend this place to anyone.I will not be visiting this place ever again.
Very disappointed and disgusted and will put me off forever! I thought i should try something different and to my dismay i really did by getting raw chicken on my butter chicken. Queue up patiently and this is what i got…took it back to the lady that served me,no appologies no nothing! What a great way to food poison customers huh?!
Today i visited at thali and i tried chole batoora but I don’t like it food was totally rubbish it was like uncooked and smell of ash was coming from peas !!
Love this place!! 3 curries, rice, naan and a papadum for $12.50
Poor taste. I often go to Thali for lunch.but the quality and taste is going down from few months.i ordered lamb and chicken curry.it was not properly cooked and too much spices,no good taste.but i really like your samosas and gulab jaman, yummmmmy.i tried it at many indian restaurant but Thali’s Delicious.
Quality going down…. Went here today for lunch after a long time.Had the large combo with naan, rice and tandoori chicken, butter chicken & kerala prawns curry. Was disappointed with the quality of food today…The Naan bread was absolutely chewy & not warm (2/10). Could not eat the outer sides and hence left the naan.Yellow coloured rice (not saffron definitely) had few lumps in it and was slightly raw (3/10)Tandoori chicken was cooked from outside but raw and pink inside. The spices had not marinated in the flesh (2/10). Had to half eat the tasteless tandoori. Nandos serves much better grilled cooked chicken.Butter chicken was overly sweet, oily & full of red food colour (3/10)The only decent dish was the kerala prawns curry (7/10).No EFTPOS (Cash only) attitude of businesses like you sucks!Overall 17/50 very disappointing and will not return.20 Jun, 2013Prices have gone up. Used to go to this place since it was serving cheaper indian meals than others in the city. now that their prices have sky rocketed, i would rather eat at haveli in raine square or royal india in west perth or mela in northbridge or cinnamon cafe on murray st
