Great pizzas and good service make our favourite gay pub (well, Perth’s only gay pub) a dining winner. The steak, burgers and other food also rock.

Food here is always good and comes in large portions! The venue is pretty average and the floor seems to always be sticky. Service is pretty good though, always friendly!

The Court HotelNestled in a prime location the Court Hotel is walking distance from Perths main train and bus stations. Sitting on the edge of Beaufort Street and James Street the Court is across from the heart of Perths vibrant cultural and entertainment hub Northbridge. For entrees, a selection of sliders & share boards comprised of mouth-watering tasting options including homemade sausage rolls served with burger sauce and tomato ketchup. I promptly helped myself to one of my favourites calamari, cooked to perfection lightly seasoned and served on a bed of fresh salad greens and sweet chilli sauce.I highly recommend trying the crunchy onion Bhaji perfectly complimented by a coriander yoghurt dressing or the chicken and brown rice salad served with a unique combination of cranberries, sundried tomatoes strips and french coriander and nuts. Delicious! The smoked salmon and avocado salad with spinach, cucumber ribbons and capers, dressed with sesame seed vinaigrette is the perfect light healthy option and believe me you will want leave room for mains.Armed with an already overflowing tasting plate, pork pulled sliders with Asian slaw were placed out for tasting. Always one to shy away from pulled pork, the name alone I have found in the past very off-putting, but as they were fast disappearing I decided it would be rude not to try one. Converted, the pulled pork slider was the ideal tasting size and left me hoping for a second as its savoury yet slightly sweet consistency complimented by the Asian slaw tasted like a little slice of heaven.I opted for the grilled salmon fillet for main served on a large hearty bed of coz lettuce, delectable cherry tomatoes mixed with sauted green beans and Spanish onion. The salmon was cooked to perfection, perfectly pink in the centre and not dry which is often the case particularly with a piece of salmon of this size. I struggled to finish my main as you can see it was a particularly wholesome cut as was the bed of salad. The grilled chicken quinoa option is the perfect light and also healthy option served with broccoli, snow peas, spinach, spring onion and crumbled feta. The Courts summer menu also boasts a 300g Scotch Fillet served with your choice of creamy mash or fries and mushroom peppercorn, port wine jus or onion sauce and pulled Pork Fettuccine with slow roasted pork with mushroom and tomato. I am already planning my next trip back to try the Butter Chicken Curry perfectly plated with brown rice, papadum and lime pickle.Notorious for my sweet tooth, I was finding it difficult to find room for my favourite course, dessert. We were definitely in for treat for our third course as we were appropriately treated to a choice of dessert cocktails a lollytini or cookies and cream. I chose the tiered sugary tipple lollytini prepared by yes, a shirtless barman. Tip, we were advised that if the barman doesnt taste the cocktail after making it, dont drink it! I know what your thinking, was it necessary for the barman to take his top off, well yes, of course, who doesnt want their drink made by a handsome shirtless man.The lollytini glass was cutely decorated with a rim of sprinkles which added the perfect texture to the sugary sweet drink. Overall I was blown away by the sheer quality of food and the management Neil, and his team oozed enthusiasm to share their venue. I cant wait for my next visit. The Court is open for lunch from mid-day and I highly recommend this venue for food, drinks, events and functions, it really has something to suit everyones taste buds more on http://www.demelzabuckley.com

I am a regular here since my friends always hang out here and been here countless of times since I turned 18 (makes it 3 years now), and I sincerely enjoy hanging out here. Pizzas are great and there are a lot of events happening in this bar. They have specials on Wednesdays and Sundays which are usually days I go for. Adam Lambert pizza is something I recommend off their pizza list if you like pulled pork pizza. Though you are not gay, you can still have a good time here, which is quite a common misconception with some of my straight friends.

One of the wonderful things about The Court is that even on a Friday or Saturday night, you can find a seat to have something to eat. The pizzas are really good, and made in a wood fired oven. The rest of the menu varies when it comes to value for money, but it does consistently taste fine. The Arancini is quite good.

Dinner. I went to the court on Wednesday night for dinner, and had the pulled pork fettuccine, and it was the best pasta I’ve tasted in my life. The pork was so tender, I could live off it! And to top of my night, after dinner there were the most beautiful drag queen performers, it was the best night out with my friends. Amazing staff and amazing food! I’ll be back!

Myself and a friend came for dinner on a recent Tuesday night and although the bar was a little busy (there was a $5 pasta special on as well as an open mic night) the bar staff were really friendly and cheerful and made us feel more than welcome. Our meals came out quickly and look superb. The waitress- who doubled as the bartender was again super friendly and cheerful. My steak was cooked to perfection and my friends pizza- which was a mere $10 for tonight was divine. Cannot recommend enough.
