We finally get to try out the crepes at this place. My friend ordered the savory crepes which she didn’t really enjoy it. Personally, I still think crepes should be sweet but that just personal preference. I had the crepes with caramelized apple with an added scoop of ice cream which I totally enjoyed it. I won’t consider it as the best crepes I had but certainly it satisfied my craving and a perfect dessert during winter time. The crepes with banana and chocolate was quite nice too. The hot chocolate was too sweet according to my friend. The staff forgot our added scoop of ice cream for all the sweet crepes. Coffee was strong but good. Lovely ambience and staffs are friendly.
Ive always loved the ambience of shafto lane and we decided to stop at this quaint little cafe to try their crepes one evening. Ordered the Bleu comme toi and the Sophie savoury galettes which were ok, but rather dry and a bit lacking in flavour. The galettes are very light which meant they werent particularly filling (which can be a good or a bad thing depending on how hungry you are). Had a side salad which oddly enough had something sprinkled on it which had the consistency of what I can only describe as sand which was very unpleasant to chew. For dessert we opted for a traditional Nutella crepe which was nice, as well as the honey macadamia with ice cream. Nothing particularly special about the crepes here, and definitely recommend the sweet ones over the savoury. Nice enough ambience though.
