We have been to this place many times before and loved it. However had not been aince it changed establishments. So it was a no brainer to grab a take away meal from there. We asked for the fried squid tentacles which we have really enjoyed in the past, and the special fried rice. I asked for the fried rice without sprouts and the lady tried to get me to have the veg fried rice instead. We explained we wanted the special fried rice without sprouts and she agreed. We were told it would be 30 minutes wait as they had dining in customers. There were only two tables occupied at the time. What a disappointment when we got home. The tentacles were quite bland and soggy and the friend rice, tasteless. We had also been given the veg fried rice after all, despite paying for the special fried rice. Very disappointing. We’d been hoping to take a friend there next weekend and sadly will no longer be visiting our once favoruite haunt.

Our Chinese friend introduced us to this restaurant. Last time we came here it was like 8 years ago and they served Chinese canton food. But since then it has changed owner and now it’s serving authentic northern china food. We tried lamb lasagna which is so delicious. Their noodles all homemade. We ordered lamb ribs soup that u dip it with some kind of Turkish bread. We also like their pan fried beef dumplings. Shredded Potato is just amazing. Portion wise they all very big. Worth of money!

Worst Asian food I’ve ever had. Used to be really good here. Obviously something has changed as the place was empty and food almost inedible we left almost all of it. Cigarette smoke wafting through from the kitchen constantly was also off putting. It was so quiet in the restaurant it was almost uncomfortable to have a conversation as everyone could hear everything. Not even background music playing. Won’t be back.

We came in for a cheap mid week meal, but I’d rather go elsewhere and pay more. There is zero vibe in this place and the food was below average. The steamed dumplings were ok, but the squid tentacles looked like they’d been sitting there for 3 weeks, fried so much there really was no squid in it. The steamed Asian greens were cold and the lamb with cumin was so over powering. For $66 for two without anything to drink, I’d rather have stayed in. What a shame, it used to be so good.

wanted noodles for lunch and tossing up between Vietnamese and Big Bowl, then browsed the window menu here and decided on it after much angst. western Chinese food (from the west of China, not western/chinese fusion) so quite different flavours – a lot of sour and spicy stuff. we had dumplings, fried lamb noodles (called fried lasagna lol) and beef ball soup. really good food, definitely worth trying. imo a touch above a ‘reasonable’ price ($45 total for those 3 dishes and a shared drink), but i think that’s ok for something tasty and unique.

Came here as part of a large group. Ordered the Pork Dumplings and Sweet and Sour Pork. Both were very tasty and generous portions! This is a great BYO place for parties, the staff let us get on with it and were attentive and friendly. Not to mention excellent value for money!
