Let me start with something positive: Tikka Turban’s butter chicken is nice, soft and sweet and a perfect complement to the saffron rice. If I were to recommend this place, it would be for the butter chicken.Since I ordered the meal, I got to choose another meat which was the lamb rojash (on top of the butter chicken) which I found it rather hard and chewy. The flavour was average. On top of that $12 is not worth the price for the portion they give – but then again it is a food court in CBD, so you would expect a higher mark-up.The dissapointing part was they did not close the lit properly on my takeaway container so by the time I got back the curry sauce was all over the bag, so make sure you guys check that they have close the lit properly before leaving the premise. That being said, their meal is not ideal for takeaway because they put the rice at the bottom of the curry meat/dishes all in one box. By the time you want to it, the rice would have already been drenched and watery. Best to have it there I guess.
Average option if in hurry and looking for Indian food. They show a lot in menu but only rice curry and dal available. 2.5 on taste, 3.5 on staff and hygiene, overall an option for a change once in a while but they have to build their options up for sustaining
Although I rarely have high expectations of food from a food hall, the curries at Tikka Turban leave something to be desired. A reasonable serving size for the price, but the flavour of raw spices was unappealing.
