Went to Uncle Joes where I always enjoy great coffee and the cool surrounds. Decided to spoil myself and ordered the French Toast which was fantastic. Flambeed banana on brioche with procciuto which was a nice twist. My partner had a generous serve of scrambled eggs with a decent serve of bacon. Barbers next door is a cool concept.
Cute and funky cafe with an outdoor area that’s nice to enjoy on a good weather day. Quite an interesting variety of food that changes daily. Great for a bite at lunch.
Ordered a grilled chicken sandwhich with a side of chips—disgusting! $17 for one thin, dry slice of chicken (the menu said chicken breast, but it was more like a deli slice of chicken), with a thin smear of avocado and a slice of cheese, toasted between two white greasy toast. The chips tasted like it was fried in old oil. Poor quality.
Absolutely ridiculous, 13:30 on a Saturday afternoon in the CBD and your kitchen closes. Meanwhile places all around stay open. It’s a pity because the venue is good and so is the coffee #lostopportunity
Most terrible breakfast we’ve had in a while.Honestly the bathroom is nicer than the food. We went for the Florentine and Acai Bowl Swapped out the ham on the florentine for mushrooms and got two mushrooms cut in half on the plate… WHAT did I pay for?????!!!???The dish itself was sad. At $18 you only get one slice of bread. It was like a kids mealThe Acai was disappointing too Bland, frozen and had two strawberries on it The muesli was over baked And it was like eating a slushyAlso got the honeydew tea It was decent So disappointed Because we’ve loved coming to Uncle Joes before but don’t think will be making a trip back
The food was stone cold, the Barnaise sauce on runny, cold poached eggs made me gag. Way overpriced at $19 for cold poached eggs on toast with a bit of bacon.
