Not happy with my recent experience here. Last time I came was 18 months ago and it was great, but when I went last week it was not good – my main was the Italian pepper steak and the entire dish just tasted of pepper, no other flavour at all, not in the mushrooms, the cheese, or the noodles (which were gluggy). My friend had the chicken pow wow and again all you could taste in her dish was turmeric. So we both had a very bland, disappointing dinner. Our entrees were delicious – sashimi style scallops and the prawns, but with such a hefty price tag and our main meals being so disappointing, I won’t hurry back.

Scoffed at us for not having a booking as if we were meant to know better.They told us to grab a drink at the bar and wait till a table was available, which after 30 mins of waiting, we were not approached or even assured about how long the wait would be and there were clearly tables available.
The food was outstanding and the service excellent. Thoroughly recommend this to everyone. It wasn’t surprising as Esperance has always punched above its weight with its restaurants over the 40yrs I have been coming here.
