Its our local chinese and a family favorite. Small local business with that family friendliness, usual assortment of entre and mains you expect. Vego omlette, spring rolls & hot & spicy chicken among our top picks. Two entre + two mains will set you back $50-$60 …probably with leftovers!
I’ve only ever got Take Away, but the food has been great. The Decor does look dated, but so are the prices and the lady in the Restaraunt is always friendly and recognises my voice when I place a phone order which is rare these days.
Staff Xmas dinner…a great fail….. I decided to try this restaurant for our Xmas Staff outing on the recommendation of a few of my clients…well was I sorry….firstly the Decor is definitely outdated…Betty was friendly enough, but the waitress made no effort to make us feel welcome, even my daughter said she thought she didn’t like us??? We ordered starters which were passable and 5 main dishes of 4 different meats and a veg dish. All the meat dishes had the same underlying taste not sure maybe bicarb or MSG?? The fried rice didn’t even seem to be fried at all?? And the veg dish consisted of maybe two veg?? I ordered Fish and chips, and a plate of chips for my grandchildren, which were both nice but certainly didn’t expect to spend $17.80 on a child’s fish and chips and $7.50 on chips when our main courses were average $14.00…then to top it off I spent $160.00 on the night for 4 adults and 2 children and was charged $3.50 for prawn crackers!!! Which I always received free with takeaway orders from other Chinese restaurants….this was a very disappointing outing and definitely waste of money, never to return again…..
Lovely fresh ingredients, not salty or greasy. Very enjoyable, I recommend the ginger beef and chicken chow mein
Great food every time. I like the fact that it is not busy as I can always get a table. Good extremely quick coming out of the kitchen and Betty is an absolute delight to be served by… Highly reccomend this restaurant.
Great authentic food and the friendliest staff around!
Don’t bother. Reasonable f…. Don’t bother. Reasonable food but offset massively by an empty restaurant (on a Sunday evening), appalling dated decor and the most terrible, surly service. We did consider that the waiter may have had a ‘syndrome’ as he wasn’t big on talking or any other social niceties. It was when I paid and he refused to give me a tax receipt that I discovered that he appeared fairly normal, just really, really bad at his job. I had heard reasonable comments about the food and its just a few hundred metres away so thought it worth a punt. It truly isn’t and I shall ensure that others don’t take a punt either.
