Best bar in Perth. Cannot fault one thing. The service is EXCELLENT and the food and drinks are pushing perfect. The prices are extremely fair and the value for money is more than favourable. Highly recommended.

I was here on Sunday 23rd for a late lunch.Food was great, but the waitstaff was miserable.it looked like he was working at his family bar and was forced to be there. not one smile, voice was so monotone and un-interested. no wonder my friend said she hadn’t been there in ages.pick up your game.

Good on week nights. We live in Claremont 900 metres from Elba and enjoy walking to this wine bar on Wednesday nights for happy hour between 5 and 6 pm. Drinks are $5 for a glass of wine and ice cold beer. Tables inside and alfresco which is nice to watch the beautiful people as they strut past with their poodles. Food by Jackson, the chef, is fantastic. A very enjoyable bar for a quiet drink and a chat from Monday to Thursday during happy hour, but Friday is busy and the bar is dominated by an older crowd.

A comedy of errors. All in all this is a great little place but on this particular Saturday everything went wrong! This was our first time at Elba so we didnt know that it was bar service but one of the staff came over appologised if we had been waiting and took our drink and food order. I was driving so i got sparkling water (Vos water at $9 a pop!! wish i was told about that) and my husband just ordered a coke, best thing was we werent treated any differently because we didnt buy alcoholic drinks. We ordered the pate`, scallops, hand cut chips and pulled pork tacos. The pate was delish but ask for more bread as it only comes with 4 little bits (we asked 3 different staff members and waited 15 min for bread, in the end ended up with 3 different types of bread??). The scallops were cooked perfectly and again delish but i was a little disapointed that they didnt come with the sage butter and cauliflower puree as mentioned on the menu and we werent told that there was a change either, instead coming out with a tomato salsa and guacamole. Then we waited about 30min and nothing else had come out so we had to ask if it was coming, our food was delivered to another table so we had to wait another 20min for the rest of the food, Ollie who i suspect is a manager, did offer us a free round or drinks for the delay but were werent drinking. Tacos great, chips were not hand cut and generic chips. As we were paying Ollie said that he was sorry for the mess ups and that next time the drinks would be on the house, Umm how would you know who we are next time? why not just give a discount this time when the problem actually happened? i would have been happy if they just took the drinks off the bill. Maybe a little more resoultion practice is needed.Great place and would return again but i think they are still learning the system of how to run a bar/tapas restaurant.

Don’t be intimidated, this place is much more down to earth than it looks. Good wine, helpful staff and really good food. Don’t miss the burger!
