Food, service, ambience is top notch here. To enter this exclusive area you will need to buzz in from the outside. I was here with a friend for a special occasion and we booked for the teppanyaki omakase ($125). It was just the two of us in the whole restaurant that day (lucky us!) The restaurant was happy to accommodate dietary requirements, like swapping out beef for fish/chicken for me. All dishes were really good but I particularly liked the charcoal grilled lamb and the fried rice! Although portions seem smaller here, we both left feeling really full and satisfied. Also, they might have been feeling generous as some dishes were from the deluxe omakase menu! All in all, we enjoyed the night and the theatrics from the teppanyaki chef.

Food 9/10Service 8/10Great teppanyaki! The chef entertains diners as he cooks a meal of beef/chicken/seafood in front of you. Fun night for dinner with family and friends. Ive dined at Tsunami a few times. The ambience is warm, and staff are friendly. Like any good teppanyaki, you get to interact with the chef as he cooks your food on the hot plate. Nothing beats the experience as he sears the meat and you get to see it sizzle and caramelising. We got a variety of set meals. Scallops are lightly seared and taste sweet. The beef, grilled to medium rare came out soft and tender. They use real premium grade meat. Both chicken and prawn dishes took a bit longer to cook, but it was well worth it. Even the prawn head is charred until crispy and crunchy (yes, you can eat it). Good range of drinks and sake. Also the option of having ala-carte next room if teppanyaki is not your thing. Will be back again.

Good size of teppanyaki set meal for us. We ordered the Vegetarian and Steak and Seafood sets and loved them. The food from Tempura,Charcoal &SushiBar was also amazing.

Amazing food we had the steak and seafood combo with gyozas and garlic rice, best service ive had in Perth. I would highly recommend this to everyone!

We had the entire teppanyaki restaurant to ourselves, as another party had cancelled. Both of us ordered the chicken and seafood with an extra steak, also the pork belly skewers to start. The pork belly was the best I have had, melted off the skewer and in your mouth, so so tender. The chicken katsu skewers as part of the set menu were delicious.Watching the chef do his thing that he has trained so many years to do is fantastic, a show with your dinner! Twirling his cooking equipment before cooking up a feast right in front of you. Everything was cooked to perfection and there was so much of it! The steak didn’t end up coming out, but we were actually grateful, as we were full to bursting already. The staff were so friendly and attentive, explaining things patiently as needed. Not a cheap night out, but well worth the money for the amount of food and the entertainment of the cooking process.

In the many years we lived in Singapore, we enjoyed a teppanyaki meal regularly and never experienced anything but fresh ingredients cooked right in front of us. How can you go wrong when you see your steak, prawns, chicken, salmon and scallops all seasoned, cooked (usually with some entertaining flourish) and presented right off the hot plate onto your dish? How? Well visit this joint and you will find out!I tried the ‘beef and seafood’ set. A plate of tempura was served as an entree. One prawn, one slice of carrot and one slice of sweet potato was of acceptable quality. While we waited for our main course, a bowl of luke warm miso soup and another bowl of steamed rice appeared. When the main course appeared, I tasted the first morsel of ‘medium’ steak. It was almost cold! As was the steamed rice!! Checking the other items on the plate, I found them all barely warm. Nothing like cold steak, prawn, scallop, fish and cabbage to go with your cold rice and miso soup!My complaint to the waitress about my plate of cold food resulted in an apology and my plate taken away temporarily. When it returned, the steak had been thrown back on the hot plate so it was now hot, but well done. The rest of the food was now even colder than when it left. These people at Tsunami Ko should be ashamed of themselves, serving up such poorly prepared food, while charging premium prices. In short, our experience was a very expensive disaster. Never, never again!!!
