Decided to head somewhere nice for teppanyaki, we saw tsunami ko with great reviews and a high score. Food was alright and servings were good. The prices are on the slightly high side for whats being offered. Possibly another course or an addition of edamame or a desert in the end to would have made it slightly more worth it. Overall there was not much of a show but still quality of food was great.
I had high expectations for Tsunami Ko. The decor is traditional teppanyaki and is small and intimate. The staff were friendly and attentive. The meal lacked the traditional teppanyaki drama and excitement. The seafood dinner was fresh and the prawns and scallops were beautiful. The fish on the other hand was not. Not cooked and very difficult to eat with chopsticks. The wagu fried rice was very bland and lacked the true Japanese fried rice flavour. The sake menu was extensive. Definitely not the best teppanyaki we have experienced.
