Just got home from eating here, the food was amazing, authentic, delicious and the staff were gorgeous. The menu has a few western dishes too. We didn’t eat desert though peaked another table and their deserts looked incredible. The only issue is we couldn’t eat everything, though of course they organised the food for us to take home. So happy right now :).
Although, the prices were a tad higher than I expected from a Chinese restaurant, the food was also better than expected. Appetizers were the assorted platter – (spring roll,prawn toast and sweet corn soup) Nice, but quite standard. Also, the Sang choy bow which was excellent. The mains were szechuan beef and duck with plum sauce which we shared and were equally delicious. The mains are a little on the small side so I recommend ordering extras if you’re hungry. Service was good, and average waiting time was about 10 minutes or less.
Horrible food…..we watched three tables make complaints at the counter all about small portions and food. We will not be back…. worst Chinese food our family has ever experienced…we will not be back. The staff did not care about our feedback and lost the ability to speak English…shocking !!!!!
I expected a lot more from this restaurant. The food was ok, the restaurant was basically empty all night, but really, the most concerning thing was the price. I think using the word ‘exclusive’ in the name and with $30 main courses, you would expect a premium Chinese dining experience, however, this restaurant simply fails to produce anything close to a premium experience. If they dropped their prices by a third, i would consider returning. Or, if they offered a unique experience and the prices stayed the same, i would consider returning also. In its current format, ‘Exclusive’ Chinese is just like any other Chinese restaurant in Rockingham with nicer plates and twice the price.
Service was attentive, polite and efficient. Food was exteremley good, much better than w have had in top Perth restaurants. Prices are fair given the quality. Only negative is the floor was sticky!!
Expectations were high! Finally a Chinese restaurant in Rockingham that didn’t look like the dilapidated 50 year old Chinese restaurants that have plagued Rockingham since the 70s. The decor is excellent and provided a classy feel to the beginning of our dining experience. A great menu and reasonably priced with some not so reasonably priced wines also on offer. We ordered as per the menu list and waited expectantly for our entrees. That’s where it all fell apart!After waiting some 25 mins we were advised that they had run out and asked us to re-order. Not a problem! Entrees arrived and although small were quite flavoursome. Approx 30 mins later the mains began to arrive. At this time 2 of our party were told that they would need to reorder their main meal!!Another of our party wasn’t even aware that they were required to reorder and subsequently had to approach staff to check, once again to be told they would also need to re-order. Due to half our party already eating there was no point in waiting another 30 mins for NEW meals to arrive it was decided to share all the mealsEND RESULT: everyone left wanting more and DOME cafe benefited from several hungry personsWill not return to this restaurant. Back to the old reliable (even if still dilapidated) Chinese restaurants. Boring but at least you’ll leave satiated.
Service alone is worth going back for. Customer service is amazing, food is fantastic, price is in line with most Chinese restaurants around the area but the service is worth going back for. You get what you pay for. Nice selection of red wine for the wine lovers.
