Decent food. Generally your standard Asian fare going down here. I don't mind it but I don't love it. The satay I liked a lot. littlegirlbigfood.blogs…

I used to come here once a week for the curry laksa. I raved about it. Curry laksa from Welcome Noodle was the bomb. And less than $9. Now we all know what makes a great laksa. Mix of white and egg noodle, chicken, tofu, squid and a little handful of char siu. Now what makes it amazing? THE CURRY GRAVY.Since the new owners have taken over, the curry gravy is no more. I used to drink this bowl dry but now I only finish the solids. The curry gravy is sweet. I don’t know how it happens but it is. Also it lacks the punch it used to have. The awesome layer of orangey looking oil on the surface? Also missing. The noodle amount is the same. The tofu and chicken are about the same. There’s one piece of squid and one piece of char siu now. Not the handful we used to get. AAAAAND the price has gone up too. Very disappointing. My mum loves eating Char Kway Teow however she avoids it now as it’s more like a pork fat oil slick than that sexy charred taste we’re used to in Penang. Definitely gone downhill. It’s a pity as it was our local but now we drive a little further to get our chinese.
Better than ever!!!. I decided to try this place again after a long break (old owners, food was rubbish).NOW IT’S BETTER THAN EVER!!!Highly recommend it. Haven’t been through the whole menu yet, but everything I’ve had so far has been great! I especially like the BBQ pork noodle soup with a few fresh cut chilies 😉
What’s Changed.. I used to be a regular when I worked nearby, and my favourite things were:1: The grumpy owner lady, who was actually so grumpy it made me laugh, but the food was good, I didn’t care.2: Special fried rice. This has changed. Its no longer my fave. It used to taste oily (good!) and have big chunks of egg, chook, pork and sprouts, now its the same as most others.3: The BBQ pork and Duck are still just as good.It used to be great, now its pretty good.
GO ELSEWHERE. This restaurant has gone down hill since the previous owners left what was a thriving business. Went on Saturday night and the food was very disappointing, tasteless and a complete waste of money. Never to return!
Disappointed. Bland, oily combination noodles. Also bit into a nice sharp bit of bone.. I won’t be returning
$20 takeaway fried rice. The title says it all. Couldnt believe it.
Delicious food!!. Tried the lunch special dry chili chicken with fried rice and the food was absolutely up to standard. Love the 3 layer milk tea xoxo NICE food with good price! Will definitely be back =)
