Went to Restaurant 259 with some work colleagues. Due to it being a slow Tuesday night, we were able to have the restaurant menu while on the Balcony. The food was great- had a platter to share. I ordered the pork belly. There was crackle and a good sized portion. Every meal that came out looked great and the person who ordered had no complaints. Only let down was the service wasn’t as attentive as it could have been. In saying that, we weren’t dining in the restaurant area, so that may have been the reason why.

Standard.Service-up there with the best in kal-boulder.Ambience-refined historic feel, can only imagine this is increased with the fireplace being used.Overall: I was at an impasse with my reviewing style with this one. The flavours didn’t jump out at me, in saying that a solid meal with service and setting to be commended. Hence the score which indicates an average meal.

Good tucker. Filling food. Went for lunch and we both went for the burgers. Scotch fillet nicely done on a damper style roll. Friendly staff were only eager to serve despite us turning up half an hour before lunch finished.
