While visiting Dunsborough this was the first Thai place we tried and to be honest we were very happy with the food.It tasted authentic and portion sizes were decent for the mains. We had spring rolls, pad thai, chicken stir fry with cashew and coconut rice. The best coconut rice I have had.Spring rolls although tasty but portion was very small when compared to price.Saying that overall the price is on a bit higher side. We ended up paying almost 50-60% more than what we would have paid in Melbourne. Also the place is very busy, so remember to make a reservation if you want to dine in, otherwise you will either end up sitting outside which is not good in cold weather or waiting a long time.

Stock-standard Thai food, which I still rate as damn tasty! We ordered Pad Thai, Green Curry, and basil and chilli stir fry. Pad Thai was awesome, green curry was ok, and the stir fry had no chilli so did not quite meet my expectations.Service was average. The timing was great, and nothing quite went wrong. The girls just lacked enthusiasm, friendliness and professionalism. Each one walked around with a mobile in their back pocket and at one stage I saw one girl run out front to use her phone briefly. In saying all this the price was very reasonable. Did not disappoint. Just has room to improve.

Once the drive was over we just wanted to go somewhere close. Hence the walk into town. We were still cold by the time we got to Bamboo Spice but we were warmed up by the last table in the house. Reminder to self: Make a reservation next time! Disgruntled wannabes left without a table and took their unhappy attitudes with them. Could’ve been us. Thanks to the God of good food for our table and great food. Coconut rice is a winner!

I’d come back. Simply would I return – yes. Friendly quirky service, better than average food- small negative the pineapple fried rice lacked any ummmmm pineapple!Good fun night thanks
