Great prices and the food is always delicious. The service of some staff could be better, as some do not speak English. Other than that, a great little Japanese place to grab lunch or dinner. It would be nice if they stayed open a bit later on weekends, as there has been many times I’ve gone to get a bento box for dinner and it’s shut.
Best Katsu chicken don I’ve ever had. No other Japanese place in the whole of Perth has compared to those delicious flavours, let alone at the same price. The staff there are also always lovely. Could not recommend this place more.
Visited this place for dinner today after nearly 4 years. Thought we would give this a chance after looking at the new ambience. Ordered Tempura bento box and Karaage Chicken Bento. Karaage tasted like fried teriyaki and lacked flavour. Tempura batter was oil and average. The 2 sushi pieces were mushy. Miso soup was just ok. Overall the experience was ordinary to poor for $27.80. Wish they stepped up the quality. Sorry won’t be visiting again.
There a family business, I don’t like the fact you cannot see the kitchen because you can hear them arguing sometimes or maybe just talking i don’t know, but it sounds like a whole family is behind there. I only order the California sushi, its not bad, but I’ve had a lot better.
Sometimes grab lunch from here before work. Always a good standard for Japanese cuisine. Has all the basics you could ask for with a nice selection of sashimi too. I got the salmon donburi today and the pieces were a little smaller than usually however if still tasted great.
A small place. Went there today for lunch with my daughter. First time here. The place is small with side benches on 2 walls and 3 small tables for 6 people. It is basically a takeaway kind of place. The menu is pretty extensive. Our orders arrived in less than 10 minutes. I was a little skeptical about the whole thing cos’ the food arrived so quick. The katsu chicken curry and the teriyaki chicken we ordered tasted good and fresh. The prices are reasonable as well for a Japanese cafe as compared to the other ones around the area. Bear in mind, this place is really basic with the furnishings and the serve wares as well. One gripe I had was that the tables are place close to each other and our next table was annoying. The kids were running around the place and screaming yet the parents did not bother to quiet them and even they were talking just as loud. It made my daughter and I uncomfortable as we couldn’t eat our lunch in peace. I will henceforth buy takeaways if I am thinking of having Yumeno again.
Great service!. My partner called them ten minutes before they were closing (we didn’t know the hours at that stage) as I was craving Katsu Chicken like nothing else. They were so awesome! They could have just told him that the kitchen was closed but they prepared the meal and waiting (whilst he got lost) for him to pick it up before closing. Literally could not ask for better service!Not only that but the food was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. I will definitely be giving them my business in the future!
