Lovely place with gorgeous gardens, the older lady who runs it bakes all the goods herself & makes the jam (which is divine!!!) The scones are huge aswell as the sponge! Beautiful place to take a drive on a lazy weekend & have a Devonshire Tea. The surrounding areas around the botanical gardens & country club are also worth seeing.

The Garden Tearooms & Cottage Nursery has the most amazing towering fresh cream and passion fruit iced homemade sponge cake ! Worth driving hours for !

Hidden Gem. Unlike the previous negative review, what the Garden Tea Rooms has going for it is the quaint home style old fashioned food and service. The Devonshire Tea was divine as were the home made cakes. The wonderful quality of food was only surpassed by the lovely personalised service of Rosalie and her team. If you are looking for a peaceful afternoon stop with good old fashion treats, then this is the place for you.

I came here for a birthday coffee with my mum & we both agreed there was nothing we could fault. The coffee was great & the scones were the best I’ve had in a very long time. The gardens were beautiful & we even had a very friendly magpie come & sit with us. Will be coming back here very soon.

Food cooked and served with love. We have been twice recently to this beautiful tea room and were really impressed at the quality and the presentation of the food served in this little slice of heaven. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to anyone.

Go across the road…. Don’t bother going for lunch as food is terrible. All four of our meals were tasteless slop. I have been to genesis across the road in the past and would highly recommend going there instead. As well as being disappointing the food was also incredibly overpriced. $17 for a soup that was very average is expensive even by Perth standards. It may be nice for morning tea but not a meal. However saying that they used tea bags which is very down market. On a positive note gardens are beautiful.

Great scenery, terrible food. The staff were lovely and the scenery was great but I just couldn’t resist writing this review. To begin with my ice tea was literally just a cold cup of tea to which I had to add my own sugar and tasted horrible. I thought I could get the taste out of my mouth with the curry I ordered but that simply had NO SPICES AT ALL. I can’t believe it was promoted as a curry at all. It was no better than a microwaved stew you might find in the coles frozen food or even canned food area. I was very disappointed to have taken my dad there for his birthday and we ended up going elsewhere for dessert.
