You get what you pay for plus a fabulous view. Had a nice brekkie, everything was tasty and fresh apart from the poached eggs which were hard. The meal was cheaper than in most cafes so I think you get what you pay for in this case. Like most locals who support this caf, we appreciate that dogs are welcome, and we love the casual setting ( you can rock up in your bathers, no one minds) and the amazing view. Service is hit and miss, some staff smile, some would rather be elsewhere. The whole place needs a clean up and make over. But it’s what we have and there are good things about it. Including the coffee. Will happily visit again for brekkie.
Always enjoy breakfast or lunch. Can’t fault the Boatramp Burger with a side of fries. Burger really tasty and fries hot and crisp. Coffee is pretty good too. Dogs seem to be welcome in the outside seating, so plenty of reasons to come again ang again.
Food was ok but I was appalled when my 10yr old asked to use the toilet & told to use the public beach side one across the extremely busy road! Surely a cafe where your paying to sit & eat a meal should have on site toilets? My husband had to get up in the middle of his meal & take him to beach side toilets, it took them ages to safely cross the road therefore came back to stone cold food.
Lovely!. We always stop here for a coffee and Bacon and Egg Burger when possible. Yum. Always cooked to perfection! Tried the Eggs Benedict last time, bloody delicious. Give it a try. If you are looking for a flashy modern cafe, this isn’t it. If you want honest, good food, it is. Great view and gorgeous coffee.

Jeff & Norma. Have been going to the caf for a long time, especially when the previous owners were there. Have always had poached eggs and bacon, but lately whoever is cooking ( think it,s the owners partner) can not poach an egg. This morning they were hard and I asked one of the waitresses to take them back and tell the cook I could not eat them. When I checked later I was told that she has taken them back and nothing was said. I was very disappointed as no one came out and at least apologised or offered to cook some fresh ones. I have read some of the reviews and agree that at times the service does not come with a smile which is a shame as most of the meals are very good, though as a cook I can not understand why they have to pile all the bacon eggs, toast and tomato in the middle of the plate as it looks bad. That might be ok in a fine dining establishment but not in a caf.
Very Friendly. I visit the Boat Ramp Cafe quite frequently, the coffee is to die for and the staff are really friendly. When you have spent all day on the beach, the food they offer is just the job to cure those hunger pangs. The view? what can I say a nice place to chill while taking in the views, well worth a visit.
