Thoroughly enjoyed a lovely lunch today, in a warm and cosy atmosphere. Fire was glowing, beer was flowing, food was hot and tasty. I ordered the chicken/mushroom/leek pie and I loved every mouthful. My husband had the biggest plate of chilli mussels and he enjoyed them very much. The garlic bread was the best ever. We also did a spot of wine tasting and brought home a nice bottle of cab/shiraz. The lady who served us was friendly, informative and attentive. I would haverated the Stringybark a 5, if theprices hadnot beenquite so high. But regardless, we will be back for more!
Such a beautiful atmosphere at stringybark! We had a wine tasting and then sat by the fire with a band playing in the back ground this Sunday afternoon. Definitely recommend the squid and salad, 10/10! Also the Staff were all so lovely! I can’t fault my afternoon here and will be back again!
Chicken Parm, IS NOT A CHICKEN PARM. And the gentlemen who greeted customers at the front stank like stale cigarettes. 🙁 Had one good server and the lady who took my initial order was dense as. 🙁 will just eat at the pub next time
$48 for a steak which was tough as a pair of old leather shoes , if I went here again I would stick to burger and chips and not order anything that needed any skill level in the kitchen. Oysters were chewy and not fresh…a shame as staff were really nice, wine great and a nice spot by the fire in winter. They need to get a new chef.
Always great. Always delicious food, always friendly efficient service and always excellent wines. Thanks to the management and staff for very pleasurable dining and compliments to the chef ….. we’ll be back :o)
Pub food. Feel like the food was good pub food, but really over priced pub food. I ordered the lamb after seeing the table next door getting it, and waited 45 minutes for it and it was inconsistent sizing to what was served next door. Lamb, minature scallops and prawns were drowning in a cheese sauce, as was the salad and couscous it came with. 3 out of the 4 of us had different dishes but all swimming in the same sauce. Waitstaff are pleasant and polite, however it wasnt a busy day and they were quite inattentive at times.
Lovely friendly staff The f…. Lovely friendly staffThe food was good and big portions, maybe a little expensive for what it was.
