Went to dinner service was terrible food was dry and disgusting would not allow my dog to eat this. Everyone was unsatisfied and left feeling hungry. Don’t order the chicken or prawns as its not fresh prawns are frozen. Kids menu only caters for children upto 5 years old any older and children go hungry. Drinks menu leaves alot to be desired no variety at all.
This place is so bad it borders on the laughable. We Just had Sunday lunch here (I can’t bring myself to call it a restaurant!). Sunday roast consisted of meat that is so lukewarm it wouldn’t meet Public Health and Safety Standards and uncooked veggies. Still, the meagre desserts available at around 1.00 were so rock hard and inedible that this must be where the energy went that should’ve been used to keep the meat warm. The fridge they kept the desserts in had dirt on top that was so thick, we could have written out names in it. The two staff who were on duty were so badly trained they quickly became embarrassed when we said it was all unsatisfactory. We complained and the Manager was too busy to come down and speak to us (no surprise here) but sent word that we didn’t have to pay. I guess complaints are ba regular part of his day in this establishment.This place and the Hotel that houses it could be soooooooo good given that it’s in the centre of Mandurah. If anyone from a big chain is reading this, please do the residents of Mandurah and surrounds a BIG favour by swallowing it up and putting in staff who know what they’re doing!!! Until then, I would advise prospective customers to select a restaurant in Mandurah, of which there are many, who do know what they are doing unless you’re willing to take the chance of food poisoning to have a laugh at the ineptitude of Pontoons.
Christmas Function. Worst lunch ever. Pumpkin soup was like water, I don’t think anyone ate it. The main meal was no better, all processed meat, no carrots or peas and to top it off there was sandwiches. Then came the pudding, OMG it was like trying to eat glue, the custard was so think it wouldn’t pour and we had to use a ladle, every pudding went back. I never want to go back there again.
The worst buffet breakfast ever, slow and rude staff. Coffee machine died so too bad too sad. Do not bother absolute rip off.
NEVER HAVE WE BEEN TREATED SO BADLEY. I have got not one nice thing to say about this restaurant,i have never ever in my life received such bad service and food,First they lost our booking and just put us near a window were it was freezing and that is were we stayed,they took 20 min to come and get our order,never brought us water until we asked oh but the table next to us got it on arrive l, my husband beer got totally forgotten he had to go up and ask for it, then the table that came after us got the food and beverages all nicely served and hear we are after 50 min still waiting,my kids burnt chicken strips came out and the were thirsty so i had to ask for the drink, the Lady waiter says we don’t have any pop tops only juice and i said can we get them and she says rudely I have to serve this other table first you can wait if you have got something to say there is my manger, My hubby said say about what, as she is standing in front of another table she say rudely about my service!!!! My i have never ever in my life me treated so wrongly in my life it is disgusting the way she treated us, we are customers and should be treated fairly no matter the situation of staff.then after this our food no over 70 min comes out and i must admit i feed my dogs better, we were so offend that we didn’t wont to eat we just wanted to leave.So we did My hubby works hard for our money and i feel it was wasted on this place don’t do the same, there is much lovey places to eat in Mandurah with lovely service and waiters who respect there customers. YOU WILL NOT FIND IT HEAR!!!!!!!!!
Lovely Sunday buffet lunch. Reasonably priced good value meal, fresh and homely. Good customer service and happy staff. Well worth a visit.
Don’t bother…. This place…. Don’t bother….This place sits inside a hotel next an indoor pool.So if you like the smell of chorine and noisy kids jumping around in a pool 4 mwtres from you, then you might like this place. Did I mention the lighting? It’s dim and changes colour, like trying to eat in a disco.
