Really good Indian food. The Chicken Tikka is especially good, and so succulent. That, and the Naan, iscooked in a real Tandoor oven Indian style. Lots of food for a very reasonable price and it’s BYO with corkage which always keeps the costs down. We’ve been 3 times in as many weeks. The service is friendly and the owner is on hand to explain the dishes if need be. They also have Momos but they will be tried on the next outing.
Emailed for booking and to ask about byo. No response after 10 days. Rang and left message. Still no response. Rocked up at nominated time anyway, knowing if it was a no go there are plenty in the vicinityWelcomed and seated. Only diners at this stage.IAnother couple entered about 15 minutes later and served well before us..go figure…Waited from 6.30- 7.10 for drinks…and no pappadums or naan to nibble on offered. No explanations…Ordered two extra onion bhaji as there were three of us – charged over double! For not so large and very averageCurries were ok and small servings. Struggled to find the fish in the Goan fish dish.Friendly service but really, really slow, and with only the other couple dining the entire evening, quite unacceptablePricey in comparison to other established Indian restaurants in close proximity…would definitely choose Copper Chimney or Sahoor over this one
