Staff are lovely, the honey chicken is not coated excessively in that yucky batter you often find at Chinese restaurants, its thin and delicious. Satay beef is always a hit along with the salt and pepper chicken. Such a great local!
Not fancy but great food. The choice is small but their food tastes like Chinese Food. Try their salt and pepper Squid and White Bait, even other better Chinese restaurants cannot match their spice mix. What is special is that they have fewer sweet and sour dishes and have more authentic Chinese dishes. China Garden is one of my restaurants I visit quite often.
Got takeaway. Taste good for the price. The vegetable omelette could have done with some garlic. Just a nice little surburban place. Guy serving me was polite. Sweet sour pork was really good. Hot and sour soup was a little salty but otherwise pretty good.
We ordered take away, the rice was hard and lumpy and had soggy shredded carrot in it, the chicken was dry and stale, not crispy, not very appetising, looked like last week’s leftovers. Pretty tasteless, don’t understand why, we had nice takeaway before? Very disappointed with the chef, why put out such low grade food?

Dear Swavek – Zykus. We sincerely apologise for your unpleasant time spent at China Garden Chinese Restaurant, however there are a few things we got to mention about your review. The combination soup IS a mixture of everything hence the name combination. The vinegar was provided to you at your request in which we don’t add it in the soup but put it on the side for you. The fried wontons are served at a low price 10 pieces for $5.9 the amount of meat reflects on that price. We try to keep everything affordable for our customers as our target market is for families.Prawns are pink when cooked and remains white when raw, the Honey King prawns were definitely cooked as they were pink and we dont serve frozen food. The duck with lemon sauce is lemon flavoured which means all the flavour is on the sauce and not the duck.We would like to warn fellow customers that if they want non battered dishes then it would be wise not to order a course meal with everything fried. If you have any trouble ordering dishes our waitresses are more than happy to recommend dishes that would suit your wants.Overall we are happy to recieve any feedback because we learn from them and from this we have learnt to warn customers that order all fried main courses that they’re all battered and it might Not be what they were looking for. Team China Garden.
